I think she’s loved because she’s relatable. Maki was rejected and was seen weak by her family, and proved everyone wrong, which made majority of fans relate to her as most of traumas in today’s society come from families.

I love how the only time he used heavenly restriction he used it wrong. You don't "break free" of the heavenly restriction, and she was as physically gifted as she was because of having no cursed energy. The only "breaking free" she did was when Mai had died, which then cut the small amount of energy Maki had, giving her the power to be on par with Toji. Either way, it was a really good video!

Personally...i think Maki is vastly overrated. Shes cool but damn does the anime/manga community act too much like she is a commodity in anime when I can think of plenty of female characters that are more captivating. First example that comes to my mind is Genkai. And its worse the JJK fandom overrates her but disrespects Yuji when he's had the more impressive display since day one of the series and she only honestly got good around chapter what? 150ish mark?

Ngl that’s bias taking away the fans for a second maki literally is one of the best examples of change in the anime she is a person who gained her strength through hardships and is very impressive with it people either overrate her or downplay her, I seen a lot of people say that she isn’t all that and she’s fodder and I seen a lot of people say she can neg most of the verse (which is almost true kinda) but she is a top tier character who has shown that she can stand with the other top tiers like yuta yuji and harkari i just think it’s the community that warps the characters perspective because I think maki is still a bad ass and a lot of people don’t really get her ability’s like that nor do they get what she represent

You really gotta separate the character from the community because maki is legit one of the only and one of the most badass women in Jjk and even in her feats she still top tier’s so I’m not sure why you say chapter one 150 when she was pulling her own against sukuna it’s like you kinda just said fuck chapter 249 to 253 because that’s when she was her most impressive in my books she even got sukuna excited

@@jaslken11 I said chapter 150ish as in around that range to now. Yeah, she had her hardships worked through them, blah blah blah but again, not something we haven't seen done before in anime and manga. Yuki was a damn special grade, and Mei Mei said she doesn't have that much of an impressive technique, so.she worked up her physical strength as well. So that's great and all but what has Maki done that was significant prior to her awakening? Like I said ignoring the community, then she is a pretty good character. But not one that leaves a long lasting mark or an example of the best writing for a female character. And currently her personality is dry as hell.

@@UnifiedEntity I mean a character leaving a mark on the viewer is subjective that’s all on you but in a battle manga like Jjk everyone goes through hardships you can say the same thing for legit anyone else due to everyone in Jjk going through some type of trauma it’s more of do you relate to that trauma or do you care or like the character enough to say it left a mark

her sister sacrificed herself for maki, if both of them were alive neither of them can reach their full potential, mai never wanted to become a jujutsu sorcerer and had no desire to get stronger, whereas maki strived to get as strong as she can, so mai made a necessary sacrifice.
