Shakur Stevenson will attempt to become a three-weight world champion when he takes on Dominican puncher Edwin De Los Santos for the vacant WBC lightweight world title Thursday, Nov. 16 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the world championship co-feature, Mexico’s Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete defends his WBO junior lightweight strap against Brazilian two-time world title challenger Robson Conceição.

Stevenson is a young, fresh, slick boxer, no doubt. To beat him, you must stay outside and move left and right. Dont stay in front and dont attack first. hes not a forward fighter but more like a mayweather or haney type.

Actually Shakur is a master of distance, the best way to beat him is stay on the inside use angles and combinations. Shakur beats you with timing and lack of action so he can use his boxing skills to land his own punches. If you make it a boxing match , he beats you easy. Edwin needs to make this a dog fight but be intelligent enough to land his shots

Odds on these fights are crazy. While I think Shakur will win a wide decision, nobody who knows anything about De Los Santos would be surprised if he knocked Shakur out. This is a dangerous fight. Navarette could have a hard night as well. Great card.

They didn't promote. Shakur and Edwin did all the promoting on KZfaq channels. The fact they got Shakur fighting on a Thursday for interim belt is highly disrespectful

Navarrete is the complete opposite of boxers like Shakur. He´s a warrior he´s not showy and isn´t very technical... But i love his humbleness. Besides he is amazingly strong and has great chin. I´m stoked for both fights... Would love to see el vaquero and Shakur win

I think edwin is a good fighter that’s it. This shouldn’t be hard for Shakur no matter how much people are hyping this fight to be and Shakur winning this fight is easy like the betting odds show so this fight isn’t a test in showing how great Shakur is. Until he fights a contender where it’s actually a pick’um fight, then I can actually gauge his greatness…

@@ibnguyton4400 , disagree with anybody that says tank is the only guy that can beat Shakur in that division. I believe Frank Martin, Haney, and possibly Loma can beat him (Loma might be too old). At the present it would probably be tank considering Haney just moved up although he has the other belts in that division , I think he drops them. Shakur is the master of distance but none of us has ever seen him in there with a guy that can close distance well, have power to test his chin, or a guy that isn’t standing right in front of him to be picked off. Those are the questions that need to be answered by Shakur. How does he fight against opponents with those attributes???
