We laugh at crazy people with signs that say “the end is happening on 2/19/03” because that day passes and we are still here, so then they update the signs to a later date, and that also passes without destruction. Wish educators were insightful enough to understand how stupid the public is and why they need to be fed fear mongering white lies based on potential climate change effects. It's why they will believe in a boarder crisis, antivax, demonic magic in government, flat earth, bigfoot, etc. They need a boogeyman that will literally walk into their house if they don't act now. They will never believe in climate change without some insane fantasy scenario that would directly effect them. Those hollywood extreme climate change movies did a piss poor job of educating, becasue these people only think this sort of thing will only happen instantly and it will just be one giant disaster they should build an underground bunker to survive. When in reality, this is a slow killer that destroy any family or legacy these people wish to leave behind. There should be more advocacy for people being shamed for leaving earth in a mess before they die.
