The first 13 minutes were comedy gold. That waitress lady had some funny ass comments. When she told the other girl "Girl they done fucked up all of this man's food." to the other waitress. I lost it. 🤣

Gordon telling you to keep your eyes closed and not open them while he puts a surprise spoonful of food in your mouth feels like a line out of a wattpad story

Sad fact: This restaurant survived for 3 years after Gordon’s visit, but it closed when their second location (which they opened to ride the publicity of appearing on the show) closed due to an electrical fire, and they couldn’t financially recover. Al passed away in 2018 from his health issues. Heartbreaking when you see the potential for the place by the end of the episode.

Having been through kitchen nightmare episode and being a chef for 40 years it’s a tremendous challenge for any kitchen adapt to a new, unfamiliar menu. It’s not surprising to see the struggle in these episodes.

I think the wings are a good example of how Gordon actually does go into the tasting optimistic. Immediately he said they smelled delicious, and despite the dryness clarified that the sauce on them was good. He doesn't just want to tear apart all the food, he only looks for and is honest about the issues.

Loved this so much. Natalie had me so frustrated in the beginning. Though I admire how she allowed Gordons criticism to inspire her, rather than implode her.

There's a certain way to run a BBQ /Smoke house. You make what you can sell that day. Brisket, chicken, sausage, pork loin, potato salad, coleslaw, etc. Once you sell out, that's it for the day. What you don't sell you offer discounts and then give the rest to your local homeless shelter.. Word does get around. Firehouse BBQ~ owner.

Ramsey works in the same way military boot camp does. He breaks you down and then builds you back up. A tried and tested method that gets results. It is up to the owners to see the the discipline is maintained. To often it is not and the restaurant fails anyway.

I like this episode. This team were ready, willing and able they just needed a leader. The owners were great to just side step and let their daughter accept her responsibility without running her down. Good parents. Bought a tear to my eye when Gordon put her straight.

This was one of my favorite episodes. This restaurant deserved the help. Amazing turnaround.

Damn, just found out that this place closed down. They opened another Michon's and it burned down. My heart goes out to everyone who worked there, all of em seemed like genuinely nice and honest people who just wanted to succeed. So sad
