I do love a guitar with Seymour Duncans straight from the factory. And this Yamaha PAC612VIIX is absolutely stellar.
Can't manage to find the full specs for this exact model. Oh well.

I plugged in a Pacifica in a guitar store some years back. I didn't want to stop playing because of the way it sounded and played, and it wasn't much over $200. Now I 've been hearing about its great reputation. It's a temptation.

They are super underrated, and even the cheaper ones seem to be good quality most of the time! Super good to upgrade too

The Pacifica lines always been so underrated. Yamaha's consistency and quality control combined really transfers between all of their industries from boats, to bikes, to guitars

I didn't forget. The only factory made guitar that I still have is a Pacifica 604W. It is absolutely magnificent, and it still blows my mind that I was able to get it for $200 20 years ago. The electronics were nothing special, but that was easy enough to fix. It currently has a pair of Gretsch black tops in it, four-way telecaster style wiring, no tone, volume only. There's nothing it can't do.

@@richardclarkmoore If I buy another factory guitar, it will be a Pacifica single cut or a Revstar, lol. Yamaha just kills it for the money...and my 604W IS a killer. It's been all over the planet and lets play anything that pops into my head.

Brilliant review. The Pacifica series is startlingly good, often overlooked but can easily punch way above it's weight. Also, what you played during that outro was beautiful! Might nick that off of ya in some song (if its not already a song haha) 😉

Yamaha : yes! Pacifica : absolutely! The 2024 release is even better than 6 series. Great vid, good vibes and energy. Peace!

I've had the H-P90 version the PAC611 VFM for years now. It's a classy feeling and sounding guitar as well. 👍

Tjhe top end acifica's are superb guitars. The SA2200 is one of the best semi solids on the market. The SG1000 really is a les paul killer and the revstars aere fantastic. all in all Yamaha should be someo f the most sought after guitars there are. Unfortunately, many people cannont see beyond Gibson, Fender, Epiphone etc.

I do not see the point of building a Partscaster when Yamaha is making them and selling them to people with a warranty and everything. LOL, I love mine!

It definitely in a similar realm as the similarly priced revstar, but they’re so different for tone and vibe I wouldn’t really compare them

Having played both, I think it is safe to say that it is not better than a Revstar. However, that does not mean that it is worse. You were talking about two very different guitars. If you're more comfortable on the short scale and don't like bolt on necks, get a Revstar. If you're more comfortable on fender type instruments, get a Pacifica. Or just get both!

you still have time to edit your comment to include which "$" you're talking about, cuz he mentioned this at about 3:52 that he talks in the context of New Zealand dollars. Just do a quick google search and you'll be able to convert if required, and he'll be able to help ya better. Cheers!

Depends what you want bro, what kinda style you wanna play, what kinda features you like. My best advice is to go play as many guitars as possible and figure out what you like 👍
