I love how we get to see how Roblox has gradually evolved from a humble game to giant soulless corporation in the span of a couple minutes.

as a veteran player from 2011, i remember when there wasn't a limit of how many friends you could have but when they added the friend limit, everybody that couldnt fit in was just squeezed into your followers. safe chat was awesome and hilarious but was a needed at the time cause there wasnt a chat filter

I never thought how much I’d miss any of these features when others mention them again. When you mentioned parties… a blocked out memory unlocked again and I remember being so happy that I’d just get dragged with all of my friends and my brother into a game. All of those features began to dissapear and I never rlly questioned it until now! The Happy Home of Robloxia map was always used in the well-known “Admin House” games. Which shows how popular these maps were. I will miss all of these, cuz they really just summed up what made me play Roblox back then. But I’m glad Roblox is changing features for more memories.

One of the most forgotten features was being able to follow other players by using the leaderboard.

Player points used to be used for leaderboards, another forgotten feature. I remember I used to grind for points all day and getting that 1st place spot. There were 2 sections, one for players and another one for groups or "clans", not sure what clans is but I feel like it rings a bell.

Hear me out, there actually WAS a way to see how many player points you had, back in like early 2017 or something there was a leaderboard feature on games that gave out player points. And there was also a "group total player points" leaderboard on the same leaderboard feature and it was pretty cool.

Related to the Genre topic when you said "Horror", it reminded me that free model's "Horror" genre has now been updated to "Scary".

Player points I remember, I wondered what they were and apparently there was a leaderboard for each game and who had the most player points was at the top. You could access the leaderboard on the games main page.

A laughability feature nobody remembers: the old outro walking guy

The genre feature was not removed,it was just updated to when you would click in the genre you see for example, "continue" just click on that and then the menu pops up.

the tix and guest features were my favourite and are the most nostalgic for me. i remember not long after guests were removed, i made a fake guest account (the guest accounts always had a space, like Guest 1827 or something) and i made it Guest_1736 (or whatever the number was) and dressed up like one. my friends and i then entered a game and i started acting like a real guest, and people started freaking out about it. it was fun, i miss those times.

The 2010-15 logo is also my favorite too, I still feel nostalgic

Player points was used for a leaderboard feature that got removed a LOOOONG time ago along with clans. Clans were like groups but it’s just where people come together in teams to collect as many player points as possible to make it up the leaderboard

I actually remember player points and had no idea they got deleted, I mean to be honest I never had any idea what they were used for so I guess I’m glad that every half second a notification pops up saying “you earned 1 player point for playing” doesn’t appear anymore

Remembering the old ages of roblox; yes, alot has changed, even the epic duck, that used to be in a game once, even for how roblox changed their logo now, I still remember how the logo was once known as "Rōblox" before, and the TIX being a popular thing, but is barely around, the default avatar being a guest, now a bacon. Still, none-the-less, I bet a lot of people who were in the past builds of roblox miss these things like I do.

i hated parties. my friends always put me in them without me wanting to, and sometimes dragged me out of games i was playing, just to go to another game. i hated it. i always left when i was put into one and never used them

Remembering builders club reminded me of the horrible time when I got OBT for a year (around $100) and then my account got hacked out of nowhere

1:06 so I actually started playing Roblox in late 2019 before guests were removed, and I actually remember them getting removed so here’s my side of the story It’s the day before guests are removed and I’m playing Roblox, I get off the rollercoaster themed login and go to sleep, I wake up and sometime the next day I go on and the play as guest button is gone. I get confused and either the day of or the next few days I make an account which I don’t remember. It was interesting. I say being a guest was fun, you communicated through things but chat. But I think that if they didn’t remove guests I wouldn’t get builders club shortly before that got removed.

You forgot about the feature on mobile where you have a dpad, thumbpad, and thumbstick, and 3 yrs ago it was removed so we’re stuck with a very glitchy joystick, and tap to move. I miss legacy controls.

The reason why I still remember about guests even though I was not in roblox back then is the popular movie “The Last Guest”

Just a point for me to mention, about the old points (red, white star thingy). Games that had this feature had a section 'Leaderboard', which had a list of the top players with the most points to bottom. This section was found somewhere between the selections (Server, Store). Recommended games always appeared below and wasn't a selection from there before. I just merely explained this by memory and from what I remember so I may have said some things wrong there.

I think they may have removed the idea of using player points because like you said, could give you infinite of them, so it would be an infinite point generator and they just maybe scrapped the whole thing.

I remember jumping in the air when I got more than 100 player points in one game, and I remember when I didn’t have an account, I was “guest 147” and I loved my little guest outfit. I remember all of these egg hunts, I had SO many eggs and I was so jealous when my friend got builders club. I remember everything.

Player points actually exist in a few games, such as Flood Escape, Flee the Facillity, and games that follow up as "old".

I started playing roblox in 2016 with my brother. (at least that was when i was first introduced to it) in 2018 is when I got my first account. It was peak roblox. I played mcdonald's tycoon and cookie swirl c hangout all the time. when i lost my first ever account i made a new one and luckily i still have it. 2018 was probably the best year (at least for me) i met some of my good friends there but sadly most of them disappeared in 2020. Will miss them.

Player points are still earn able I think, it’s just that most games removed them due to the exchange system not being fully implemented which made the points useless

Even though I didn't get to experience some of these features on roblox I would still like to be there to try them out and be apart of them. And for some reason I still get nostalgia from the ones I have never experienced.

I remember when I would use Guest accounts on my old gradma's computer during like 2015 or 1014 with the old logo and stuff, and playing epic mini games and having a lot of fun doing so... And watching Dennis Daily when he was younger.

I remember pretty much all of these, and dang I miss em. Also, pretty sure you can have like 3 hairs and/or face items equipped if you’re on computer. You use the advanced feature at the bottom and item IDs.

I didn't fully forget about points. I just didn't know what they were for tho. I do know how many points I had also would be happy to see if they came back as a new currency that the game developers can enable and disable that allow players to use their points to buy gamepasses and stuff like that for free.

I guess the only thing I would say about present Roblox is just that it had lost it's color. Like the website did not have the blue bar in it's light mode, the premium is nothing but white instead of the colorful BC. The logo was also mostly white or black instead of the iconic red.

for player points each game had a player points leaderboard for who ever had the most points, and it had a tab like gamepass, or recommended games tabs. but because devs decided how much points you get in their game most just made you get 200m+ and the feature was completely useless and did nothing

I remember there was this show on youtube about guests, they made it into an actual show later on, and it was just about 1 guest and his life throughout the changes of Roblox, the players, toxicity, happiness, and how bacons would soon take the name that Guests used to have. It kept the memory of Guests for about 2-3 years, but it soon fell off. I just wanted to point this out to see if anyone else remembers this.

You can actually still equip more than one hair. It’s using the advanced accessory menu though so it heavily limits accessory usage too….

The best era of ROBLOX has got to be 2016-2018. It’s what me and my brother grew up with, and it was still pretty modern but without as much toxic players.
