Miss this team. Would still do all the trades for AD and bring in Lebron 1000 times over if we had to do it again, but seeing the process from being ass to putting all our faith in these young guys was amazing to watch. Laker Nation loved all these guys and still do on their newer teams but Lakers once again have a now new young core to build around with Rui/Reaves/JHS/Christie etc

Caruso, Hart, Nance & Zubac one of the most sought after role players in the league (I rather have every single one of them over Ayton tbh) Kuzma is a fringe all star getting paid 100mil. Jordan Clarkson 6th man of the year. Even Mo wagner is a good back up big. Who the Suns have outside of Booker and soft ass Ayton? Bender, Josh Jackson and Alex Len? Lmaooo

I do too. The Lakers wouldn't have gotten a bubble ring which is more than their pathetic franchise would've seen for the rest of the century. The Los Angeles Fakers got bailed out by Lebron wanting to make movies. Suns young core was better than the Lakers young core yet didn't get as much media coverage. Booker is quite easily better than Lonzo, Kuzma, and Ingram

i wish kuz was traded for ad instead of zo, that would been so fun to watch with a lineup of Lonzo Ball, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard. Zo wouldve averaged 11.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 11.1 apg. Zo wouldve been a champion and potentially a MIP player.

Even though they weren’t playoff contenders, watching these guys play and grow each game was so fun and exciting. Even though I would’ve loved to see them win a championship for us, I’m glad they still got to develop on their respective teams. It may be crazy to think about, but Laker fans we may be closer to a rebuild sooner than we think with another exciting young core 👀

2023/24: Lonzo = $20.5m JC = $23.5m BI = $33.8m Kuz = $25.6 JuJu = $28.2m Hart = $13m total = $144.6m If this squad were together in 2023, not only would they be contenders in either conference, but the salaries would actually work. fill out rest of the roster with min. vet contracts would put them around ~$165m and that's still 6th-8th highest payroll in the league. Ball, Kuz, J.R, B.I, Clarkson, Zubac, DLo, Caruso, Bryant, THT, and Hart…are all either big time players or top role players right now….now add the young core they have now. They could even be better: AR15, Max Christie, Cole, Maxwell, JHS, Colsten….The lakers have hit on every single pick or undrafted signing the past 10 years. That scouting and development department is top tier.

I used to watch at least 90% of games those years starting 2015 when they added DLo. This was the most painful era to watch as a Lakers fan. You can have all the flashlights you want but they were pretty much loosers those years.
