GW needs to fail. They treat their customers like garbage because they can and because people, like you and like him (in the video) keep buying their stuff. It's really that simple.

@@ChaosxSpacexMarine considering your user name, I’m guessing that you fall in that crowd as well. And there is no reason they need to fail. They need to stumble and recover like they’ve done in the past. There was a time in the past when their sales were down for similar reasons and they new people took charge and things were good again. The current problem is the constant new releases. A new codex/tome every month it seems is a bit ridiculous. But when they sell out of every new release, it’s hard to blame them since they are in the business of making money.

The problem is GW don't understand why models don't sell well. I don't think anyone really likes Stormcast and never see anyone collect them but the fact that they're charging £40 for 10 stormcast and often putting it on Online Webstore only (so no discount) is WHY they don't sell. GW are too thick to realise that. Look at those Pegasus Knights: one of the most sort after plastic kits in the last decade yet GW can't shift them now. Why? Cause £37.50. So what do GW do? Charge £47.50 for 3 TK chariots lmao. Old World is dead already because of this.

@@scepteredisle Stormcast is one of the most popular ranges, both in competetive play and in collecting. People like them, and in particular the 3rd edition refresh has been a smashing hit. Phasing out the old style models is completely fine, I own a lot of them, I will continue to use them where thematically appropriate. I have zero issues with them knocking it down range wise, and honestly they could have gone even further. The only miss is Beasts of Chaos going to a legends only army. Beasts is cool, they should have folded them into chaos more, and who knows, maybe they will!

AoS problems is that the lore, the story is utter rubbish. It makes as much sense as the magic the gathering story which is well rubbish. Games Workshop knows this and it’s a problem for them as they want to sell fantasy battle as a theme for books, games and movies but it just doesn’t land as it too broad. This is why I think they brought back the old world, the whole game system is secondary to making a setting they can set stories in. Gotrex is a fine example, in first 6 novels you could plot his journey and the old world but you try plotting his journey in the recent series or why he’s even going to each place, none of it makes sense.

@@Zabzim I agree, I think they went "go big or go home" but they did both. The realms are a really cool idea but they're too big. 40k's way of handling this is each story is either self contained or it gives just enough info about the planet to be interesting. With the mortal realms, there's too much happening at once over too big of an area. I want to know what's happening everywhere if I can, but this setting just isn't lending itself to that at this point. I really like the fluff of each army, but they've made it so that you can essentially be too creative. In the old world, everything is mapped out and you can make up your own settlements and you can say where they are on the map, but I'm AoS it's impossible to say. If every realm is as big and mapped out as the entire WHFB world, it just gets overwhelming. They needed to dial it back story wise... Not model wise

exactly. Savage Orcs, apparently, have been completely trashed: they're not coming to Old World unlike Beastmen (and I'd much rather Beastmen STAY in AoS, as that means new plastic chariots etc).

@@scepteredislelook I don’t follow AoS in the slightest but I’m pretty sure Savage orcs haven’t really been support in AoS since the very beginning. While savage orcs are currently not in tow right now I can see them being added if GW feel the need to expand the existing range. While most of AoS stuff is Gerrish and wouldn’t fit tow aesthetic that doesn’t see there isn’t room for improvement, I could see something like the kharadon overlords coming to tow, they would have to go through significant changes such as adopting more realistic means of taking flight than whatever magic mumbo jumbo they currently use.

Of course! And they’ll discontinue the ones you could use for TOW for good measure! Which doesn’t matter in the slightest as I’ve never liked Skaven.

Liberators have already been confirmed to be getting updated models, and Prosecutors were in the trailer so they are all but confirmed to be getting new models too.

They are announcing in advance which models are going end of production. Many of these will have new sculpts and current rules, you can continue to use the old sculpts, no one will make you use the new ones (this isn't 40k) it is probable that the sacrosanct chamber, while 'beong retired' will return with thincast sculpts in the future, because everyone loves the SEQUITORS and so on aesthetic, but they are unifying the range. I'm a stormcast player. I have 8000 points of em. Not an ounce of mad. They needed to cut a ton of scrolls from a bloated force, and the main thing we are losing is a bunch of redundant heroes (and we can still use them as other stuff, I've used the cool priest exorcist as a lord relictor many times.) I expect all the SKAVEN stuff to be replaced with new models at launch, maybe leaving a few out. It's possible that clan rats become something else or whatever (fundamentalist rats!!!) but we will again have zero issues with people choosing to use old models if they want.

@@Basil_Ghothickovitch like I said, not against the players. I feel for them. It sucks to lose stuff you paid good money for to a company that gives you some arbitrary reason why you stuff isn't valid anymore. For me and people like me the sigmarine was a symbol the new crowd flaunted in our faces and told us to get over our loss. They stated that fantasy wasn't making money, glossing over or ignoring the fact the game was mismanaged into oblivion.
