Denver, for us NBA Basketball purest, is a delight to witness. Joker is a big man throwback to when Centers made a difference in the NBA. His low post-game is beautiful and impactful. His vision and passing are top-notch. AND he can shoot the long ball. Joker is amazing and because of his talents, the Denver Nuggets as a team are poetry in motion. They remind me so much of the NBA of the 80s which is why I salute them and hope they win it all. This is coming from an LA resident/ Lakers fan.

I think Jokic and Murray is a great DUO on the BEST TEAM, but not the BEST DUO. Outside of Jokic and Murray they also have a very talented/lengthy team that most teams aren't prepared for in this small ball era. Every serious team that plans to compete against Denver should be looking into getting a little bigger. Lakers just choosing Dwight over Tristan could have literally been the difference between getting swept and sweeping themselves. All 4 of those games ended up coming down to the last minute. Even a older Dwight is going to get at least a few more those difference making stops and rebounds the Lakers missed out on throughout that series.

Guys like mpj, Kcp and Gordon that score double digits and balances the workload all season long. And their bench is solid as well with brown, green and others. They have multiple guys with championship aspirations that simply have great chemistry with each other. That’s why Denver is so great, and Jokic and Murray are looked at as the Best Duo in the nba right now. So it’s a great debate to have, because no one is really wrong in this scenario, including Perk. Bc next season it can be an entirely different team that everyone is talking about. I get an attitude when I think about Perkins too. His original statements about Joker getting the MVP was undoubtedly racist, and then he got really pissed and denied when his cohost called him out and quit ESPN the next day. It was on tape. Don’t tell me the emperor’s new clothes are beautiful. He never apologized, he never acknowledged that Joker could possibly be deserving for something other than his skin color. The last guy who played like Joker who got the MVP was Magic and I don’t think racism had much to do with it. Jamaal made all the difference last year and clearly deserved the comeback award.
