If I were to choose for main team, I would play Hannibal, Mainoo, instead of Fred and McTominay. Then New lads like Amad, Hugill, and also Kovar as backup GK. Kovar has done some incredible skills to lose off Opposition press. I was so impressed with the younger lads are so well connected.

As a lifelong Manchester United fan of almost 40 years, it always excites me to see youngsters trying to break through into the first team. The class of '92 will always live long in my memory and it would be amazing if ten Hag was to follow in SAF's footsteps in blooding a few young lads into the first team, if not this coming season but in the not-so-distant future. Either way, the future is very bright for United. Great analysis once again and a very nice backdrop, lucky you TSR!

For some of us, we get so attached to certain players because of the amazing moments they gave us, that we probably miss the tactical importance of why it's relevant for them to leave the ship. I wanted Pogba, Ronaldo and David De Gea to stay. However, time has suggested, particularly for the former 2 (waiting on DDG's replacement), that it was best they left. There is a player you haven't yet adventured yourself to comment about, except I missed it... What are your views on Mason Greenwood contributing to Manchester United's success, particularly as we're lacking in the centre forward department? It looks like we're noy gonna have the funds for Rasmus Hoijland...??!!

From seeing Kovar's performance, I don't think we need any other goalie after singing Onana. Dan Gor was amazing too in the second half

The fact that Erik plays an entire youth squad in the 2nd half and them getting the goals is clear evidence that his philosophy is being implemented all the way down. It allows him to really look at the young players that has potential for a move up to the senior squad. Sure, it's a friendly but some of these players like Kovar, Jurado, Hugill etc will be the ones that Erik will look at first before going to the transfer market in 2-3 years time. In this day and age, players are constantly on the move. The likes of Giggs, Scholes and Neville who were one club players are long over. It's important to have at least 3-4 youth players who can step up and clearly understands the philosophy. It frees the club more budget to pursue transfer targets in case there isn't enough cover in some positions.

Everyone making progressive passes and not boring side and back passes. I was surprised about the GK performance, if he performs like this we dont even need Onana. Instead use that money on Hojlund.

I was here with you in the last pre-season bro and the way you analyzed those games against Liverpool and West Ham made me understand where ETH is taking Man Utd to. It’s an impressive start again this season. You can see it in the way they’re playing, and our build up is going to be better now with Onana who’s a great passer. No disrespect to the legend De Gea, but we need what the likes of Ederson does for City from the back. That’s modern football!

I like that Man Utd are playing alot of pre season games (more than the other teams). It will help ETH ingrain his philosophy into the team and will showcase what academy players will be integrated into the first team and who will go on loan. We still need striker, CB and Amrabat
