Fun fact: Venus was named after a Roman god named Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. The Romans were greatly influenced by the greeks, so originally they took greek gods and renamed them basicly. Aphrodite was the Greek's version of the goddess of love and beauty, and then of course the Roman's version was named Venus.
