That's a rather fallacious comparison. @Daymjo
@Daymjo 7 жыл бұрын
In order to live in the UK, you need to apply for a visa. In order to pass the test, one of the requirements is that you speak English fairly well. Therefore, I can conclude that all (if not the vast majority) of immigrants coming into the UK speak English, they just choose not to all the time. Besides, this wasn't Farrage's point, he just doesn't wanna hear foreign languages on the tube, it makes him nervous. Furthermore, if legal immigrants in the UK prefer to live in closed off communities as they did in their homeland (assuming, of course, that they abide by the laws, which the vast majority do) then i think it's totally fine. Civilized nations don't impose their culture on their immigrants, as long as they follow basic rules and codes of conduct. Lastly, if you're referring strictly to illegal immigrants, we can agree that they can be an issue. However, there are hardly such people in the UK.

would be hippocritical of the soverignty she has bestowed upon us. but atleast the vote can not be ignored due to the same soverignty, a vote passed in the house of commons can not be revoked and only delay'd by the house of lords

@@sosomadman The queen doesnt/didnt bestow us our sovereignty, we are born sovereign in our own right. We have 3 sovereignties in England, the crown sovereignty which is controlled by westminster cite English civil war. We have parliamentary sovereignty ``lent`` to it on a 4 yearly basis. Lent to it by the sovereign citizens. By us being born within these shores, that gives us our sovereignty, not the crown.

I hate the terms 'wasted vote' and 'protest vote'. It's used all over the world. A vote is a vote, that's democracy. People are told, vote Republic or Democrat, Labour or Conservative etc. Because anything else is a 'waste'. It sickens me.
