I USED TO HAVE SUPER BAD ANXIETY. It was horrible. I had it for about 4 years. I would overthink things all the time, I was scared to raise my hand in class to answer a question because I was scared to be judged, I couldn't even talk to a girl one on one because I was so anxious! I wanted to be in theatre because I liked acting but I didn't want people to judge me in a bad way for getting into theatre and being some "weird theatre kid". I never went to church, I had never prayed or read the Bible before. Then one day in 2018, my friend invited me to a Bible study at our high school. I thought about it and decided to go and check it out. And on October 9, 2018, my LIFE was changed forever. I remember leaving the classroom so happy and excited to come back the next week. So I started to go to the Bible study every week and begin to learn about God. The true and living God of the Bible. I started to pray and read the Bible and see if God was truly real, and then over the summer I went to this huge church conference and on the last night, the preacher said "if anyone's going through anything, I want you to come to the front and ask God to heal you" and I went to the front and I got down on my knees and I actually cried out to God for the first time and I said, "God, if you can actually heal me, please help me!”, and right after I said that, I heard the clear voice of God for the first time in my entire life and one of the only times I heard Him so clearly, and He spoke to me saying, "I've healed you from your anxiety right now, and it's not going to come back." And right after that happened the preacher said "If anyone got healed, I want you to come up onto the stage and tell everyone" and instantly I went up onto the stage and told about 900 people that Jesus had healed my anxiety! And ever since that day, my anxiety hasn’t come back, and I know it’s not going to. And He can do the same for you, no matter what you’re going through or struggling with, Jesus has authority over it and can heal you!! Now here’s the thing: we have all sinned and fall short of God’s standard. We have sinned against God, we’ve lied, we’ve stolen, we’ve fallen short of loving God and others, etc. And the Bible says that the wages of sin is death. In other words, because of our sin, we deserve death. We deserve to go to hell! Now here’s the good news: God loved us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth, and Jesus lived a perfect life, He never sinned once, and then He died on the cross for me and you. He sacrificed His life for us, offering us the gift of salvation. And the Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 that "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved. For it is with the heart one believes and is made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved". So we have to believe that God DID raise Jesus from the dead, and we make Jesus the Lord of our life, which is surrendering our lives to Him, giving up our own will to follow Jesus, and placing our faith and trust in Him alone. I was molested at the age of 7, I never processed it as a teenager, or even as a young man. My walk with the Lord revealed to me that the moment I chose to never speak of, could very well be responsible for the mentality I developed towards sex, women, perversion, and sexual immoral endeavors, like Pornography.
