Sharon paige was so underrated as a female singer, primarily because she didn't really have a group of her own and did vocals on mostly male group's album's. But she held her own against any female artist of her day. She was purely sublime, a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. ❤

Totally agree with your comment. Sadly only recorded two or three songs with Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes. However I’ve discovered she did record a single in her own right called You Don’t Even Know My Name, sadly as rare as hens teeth as they say. Found it on this platform though and really worth a listen, here’s the link.. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i7V5e5eGlsqRgKM.htmlsi=pl9ai6eF8dP_KOcU

I love and grew up off the Philly Sound. I was 13 when this song came out. Beautiful Memories. I wish they made music like this today. Hopefully, Silk Sonic will help bring back the good music of yesteryears.❤️🤗

"Straight away"? British, are we? That's my favourite phrase to which to do my (extremely limited) British accent! That and Gretel's "Why don't I feel any bettah?" in "The Sound of Music"! I NEVER hear anyone say "Straight away" anymore! So, THANKS ☺️

Just hearing these songs makes me so happy that i grew up in the 70's. Makes me feel closer to my parents who both passed away back in 2020. Love you Mom and Dad Music isn't made like this anymore staight up. I remember hearing classics like this on the quiet storm in the 80's when i was HS.

Yes it does. I just shared it to my FB page, as I was perusing through KZfaq looking for old '70s Love Songs to create a Playlist of "OUR" Music for our 20th Anniversary next year, and man! I would have never thought to look anywhere where I would have found THIS TREASURE!! I'd also forgotten how much I loved (rather, LOVE) "I Hope That We Can Be Together Soon".. and how good I still sound singing Sharon Paige's part.. what is it... almost 45 years later? Still hangin' onto what little voice I got left! LOL!! 😄🥰☺️
