When a song describes you after a toxic narcissistic person you were in a relationship with for so long and so many heartbrakes. You finally see your worth and love the woman they made you,strong and still able to love even after all they put you through.

I felt this my daughters dad I was with 3 years and it broke me I had to leave I had no choice he wouldn’t chose me and our baby girl he chose toxic people he took everything I had and left me with nothing but broken pieces of me that he broke it took me so long to get the old me before him back it was so hard but I’m grateful I had people who loved me to help me now I’m in a healthy relationship and I’m a lot happier . I never knew what a real healthy relationship was until now and I definitely know now the one with my daughters dad wasn’t healthy it was all about him controlling me he abused me in so many ways and I cut a lot of people out since he’s made I left him he wants to make me the villain when I’m not I begged him to love us and he didn’t care that’s on him I will forever still have love in my heart for him and pray he will change his ways for our baby girl but as far as me and him are concerned we will be nothing more . Ever agian he chose this

Another beautiful song, I nearly died because of the narcissist who I called my partner he nearly destroyed my relationship with my children and family and I finally left him and I’ve started rebuilding my life me and my children. The court date will come and go and then I will close that book and return it to the shelf and never acknowledge it ever again…so talented with this song. Thank you

The year was 2012, we had just gone through a major loss. And at first, it was great. Nothing to worry about. Just 19 and 20 years old. Out on our adventure, we called life. Our relationship, turned toxic, when he moved to California for college... and I wasn't ready to leave my home yet. When he moved... if he called... I was to answer. It didn't matter what I had going on. And if I didn't answer, he'd literally attack me. And accuse me of cheating on him. I eventually... after a year and a half of an abusive long distance relationship... left him. Here I am, the end of 2023... and I am finally marrying the man... that has treated me right from the time we met. We've been together, almost 10 years. Engaged, for 3 of those. Though, the marks of my past still rear their ugly heads. He sits there, asking simply questions. And guides me back. Some of the things my ex did to me, are forever ingrained in my brain.

I can relate to this song on so many different levels. Growing up with toxic parents. Then having toxic relationships not just with men. Alot of people in my life have been toxic 😭😭😭

I met a monster on a dating site who made me feel like he was someone he wasn’t. The crazy emotional roller coaster with this man was damaging my soul and what I thought love was. The words to this song, I could have wrote. I’m very thankful I escaped the clutches of an emotional monster. The road to recovery was not easy, but I survived and living my life to the fullest as a single woman.
