I called that they were taking this route weeks ago, so the death itself didn't surprise me. If they telegraphed it any louder they should have had a neon sign. But what got me... what REALLY got me... was Dean. In the past... Dean kicked, roared, screamed, cried; he got up to finish the fight if need be, he held people, he wept, he gnashed. Dean... broke. There was nothing left in him after this. Not as Mary went to combat. Not as the light show flickered in the back. Sam knew better than to even try. There was no "Dean, we have to move." There was no hands on, no consolation, because Sam knew there was nothing that could be said to fix it as Dean Winchester gave in to his knees and stared numbly at the world. The death of Castiel in that manner gave us truly... broken... Dean. In the way that twelve years of living hell has not caused. Dean Winchester broke last night and I broke with him. I do expect they will bring him back, if only because removing Castiel this late in the show is a literal suicide button. Possibly nephilim bringing him back for a returned favor and being chosen, possibly something else. But he'll be back or the show seppukus and bleeds ratings into a terrible death. But that won't make better what I saw out of Dean last night.

Early Destiel was young, funny and kinky, it was long nights at the bar and lame jokes in the front seats of the impala. New Destiel is like a wrinkled piece of paper, soft and fragile, it's painful and stressful. it's worrying all the time for no good reason other then that if one of them is not with the other at all times, they'll die alone.

Even if the Jack is evil, he will save Cas, Cas is his adopted father. Also, i think that the boys (Sam, Dean, Cas) will spend season 13 trying to save Mary and Jack will be looking for his real father (Lucifer) but when he sees how evil Lucifer is, he will cast Lucifer back to the cage (or something worse) and he will bring peace to the alternate world and kind of be the god in that world.After all, Cas did say that he saw peace when Jack showed him the future. Maybe the peace he saw was on Earth2.0. People are reacting too hard to Cas's death. The first thing Jack will do is revive Cas. Also, when Cas does die (which will probably only be in the last episode) he will have a death speech or at least some last words.

Well, thankfully they made it clear that Cas comes back but as Misha implied in Jibcon, the death may have changed him and he also implied that it could be Cas from that paralel universe where Mary and Lucifer are. We don't know if Cas is there alive or dead, so they may bring him back when they go for Mary. Which would be great of course, but it wouldn't be our Cas, he would be more like Cas from season 4, no bond with Dean (and Sam) so I hope they will bring back our Cas, they were developing destiel for several seasons, I don't wanna go back to the beginning ffs.
