...I'm still so mad that Sari's origins and abilities were never fully fleshed out like they would have done in season 4, it was such a cool concept

I cannot stress enough how realistic and cool it was not making all the Autobots super buddy-buddy with each other. It was nice way of breaking that stereotype in Transformers

Teen Titans, Spectacular Spider Man and Transfomers Animated, such great series that unfortunatly got cancelled, hope in the future they give them the seasons they deserve

Animated has my absolute favorite Megatron design. It also features the best Decepticon of all time, Lugnut.

Believe me how crazy I got upon this video, I was thinking about Blitzwing's faces for my character design, so I search on KZfaq and saw this 5 days ago video. Transformers: Animated will always be a strong childhood to me, hack now at the age of almost 22 my "Roll out Command Optimus Prime" is still sleeping beside my bed lol.

I remember it was my first ever Transformers show or any type of transformers related media i watched. I LOVED it and because of child me not knowing how tv series aired and when, the Decepticon's had a lot more mystery and threatening air around them for kid me. I rarely saw them and each time i did i ate it up. Megatron was such a menace and shockwave was a mystery through and through. Sadly for some reason as an adult i have a hard time rewatching it. I had tried it like 4 times and either skipped through A LOT or stopped all together. I want to try it again, it was such a comfort show it made me so happy as a child. Evem if it doesn't spark the same emotions i want to hold the show close to my heart for what it has done in the past for me. (It was also one of the shows that made the egg crack a little bit. It's so funny how i saw myself as bumblebee and wanted to be a boy like him or headcanoned him as transmasc without even knowing thay the word even existed and my experience even had words.)

I remember really enjoying characters of tfa, such a nice show. Maybe it's time to rewatch. Thanks for vidya!

The idea of making Optimus an underdog and making his dynamic with Megatron more a akin to david and Goliath rather then the two being equal like they are usually portrayed makes the wins the autobots do get more satisfying

No, I didn't. Because it was the first Transformers show I watched from beginning to end. I've been rewatching random episodes as of late, and it has aged way better than the rest of my childhood Transformers shows.

With that animation style I can see why people thought it would be kid like

Now that I think about this review, I feel really guilty not watching this show back in the day when it first came out or binging this incarnation years into my high school days. Out of all the Transformers incarnations this one is really my all time favorite, now that there's a Transformers themed channel on PlutoTV I can catch the series anytime I want to and this will my official debut watching the series on my TV.

This prob has my fave op in the Franchise. The song & visuals were jus so memorable to me & I really liked the designs. Not much to say except I really liked everythin bout this show growin up & I'm glad certain things leaked into Prime. Who knows it might actually come back

While Transformers Prime is still top dog for me, I will always cherish Animated and what it did for the franchise.

I love Transformers Animated so so so much. I started watching it in my last year of highschool and it fully got me into transformers, as well as being a darn good series overall.

The whole opening bit about stuff getting lost in the broader franchise drives me crazy. I hate how people will always see transformers as pretty bad giant blockbuster movies. I wish that stuff like Transformers Armada & Animated was what people knew. There’s so much good stuff in this franchise that nobody even knows about. Even the hardcore fans write off large portions of the media. Stuff like Transformers Victory, that never got a good English dub, and then got released on DVD decades after release is just cursed to never be seen. Or how they ruin English releases, like Transformers Energon. It was butchered into oblivion and the west hates it. Where the Japanese version of the show is a pretty damn competent anime. Animated while not my #1 favorite, is easily the best transformers show the west has made. It’s fantastic, and I hope more people dive into it.

I still can’t wrap my mind around Animated not being on TV anymore. Am I that old?

I've been wanting to make my own Transformers series. I would give it a TFA, Prime, & Justice League cartoon vibe. It would be called Transformers Extinction. Peter Cullen would be Optimus Prime & David Kaye would be Orion Pax. Cybertron is now a dead planet; Optimus & many other Autobots come to live on Earth, although begrudgingly. They would include Ironhide (voiced by Cullen), Ratchet, Prowl, etc. Prime & his team would have to fight off Decepticons and deal with the Autobot Elite Guard. Eventually one of the bots would possibly betray Optimus, like Hawk Girl in Justice League. Two concepts that I got from watching Animated is that Elita 1 was infected by spider venom & became a techno organic. In my show Elita would be infected by a symbiotic entity like Venom from Spider Man. Another thing is that Sari is a techno organic that was possibly created by the All Spark (we don't know her full origins though). In my show the All Spark could inhabit the body of a human being and could try and transform the earth into a new Cybertron. In Prime Starscream said he wanted to be an Autobot but then later in stayed with the Cons. I would give him a redemption ark. Last but not least, we have an Orion Pax ark & we would get to see him interacting with humans after he escapes. In this state he doesn't remember being a Prime. He's an alien that only knows Cybertronian, specifically the Iaconian dialect, which means he can't understand what humans are saying. Those are my ideas. If you have more ideas I would love to hear them.

I am one of those that I get why people like it. The designs, voice acting, some of the characters and themes are good, and I did appreciate them doing something NEW with the transformers. Although I probably wouldn’t put this in my top 5 maybe in the lower part of my top 10 transformers shows. I mean no disrespect but there’s a few things holding it back for me. Like the human villains outside of Meltdown and Headmaster I couldn’t have cared less for any of them. The animation was also mixed sometimes and clearly didn’t have the budget like shows like Ben 10 or Secret Saturdays for their action. I may also be a little sour given I grew up with the Unicron trilogy (it has its problems don’t get me wrong) but there were more characters there I liked more than here in animated. Especially Hotshot who was my favorite character and I find it sad that they haven’t done anything with him since rescue bots academy. Plus the fact growing up animated was the only decent thing to watch while getting ready for school and I got REALLY sick of it after awhile.

I finished tfa yesterday. And it was so underwhelming, everyone was raving about how incredible it is and it's genuinely meh. I mean i get why ppl like it, but its rly not for me. The designs, the voices, the characters aren't terrible but sari was incredibly annoying, thankfully after she upgraded herself she got better, bc she was in it less.....but it was just so meh. No one will agree with me but thats fine. I think calling it the best tf series is far from the truth. Prime is better beast wars s01 is better, hell even earthspark and cyberverse is better. "Waaaaa! Theres a twansformer wiv a pwonoun other than men and women! WAAAAAAA! Yes i think earthspark is better. Hate me idc

For trying to introduce the series to new ppl (or ppl who haven't watched), which is what your intro suggests, you spoiled stuff that I missed having mainly watched the season only maybe a little into Season 2. Especially when it comes to Sentinel Prime. You might ease up on the details like that if you ever do a video like this again for another series. Otherwise I really liked the video, and coming from my specific perspective, I suppose it is nice to be told of things I have to look forward to and truly have confirmation that, ye, I definitely never did make it all the way through my quite potentially favorite Transformers series (which means I need to make more of a point to fix that error).

Some character build were good, but there were some that is confusing, if ratchet keeps calling optimus a kid and ultra magnus was a leader looking, then is this show even making him optimus a prime or orion pax?? If optimus is a prime then why ultra magnus act like he is the prime instead???
