Gammon cooked in the ninja 15in1 on steam roast. Does it crackle ? You bet your bottom dollar it does . The steam roast function and temperature probe help give the most tender , moist gammon

@kevanembleton, thank you . Honestly, the crackling gammon joints fron LIDL are fantastic and as you can see take zero prep for Ninja cooking

Yes Penn, I agree the ninja 15 in 1 does a great job with gammon, chicken and beef, I've not tried lamb yet, Take care.

I'm going to try this! How much water did you put into the Ninja for the Steam Roast? At 1:50 you just say you have a little bit of water in the pot, does that mean 250ml?
@inthekitchenwithpenn17 ай бұрын
About 300 ml

Hi Penn, Why do you have two of the Ninja's and which one would you recommend if you were just going to buy one?
@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Жыл бұрын
@jadegoodwin8413 I actually have 3 ninjas , the dual, the 15in1 and the grill max lol . They all have certain functions that are better on them than on the others. All are good . If you do mainly oven cooking , frying and grilling then go for the dual . The best all rounder is the 15in1 it pressure cooks , slow cooks , grills , airfries , sautès , steam bakes/roast and fries .

Hi Penn, I’ve just discovered your channel having just bought a 15 in 1. The gammon looks perfect. I have a question though, would you consider steam or pressure setting best for a gammon joint for the most melt in the mouth result? I’ve subscribed and look forward to more ideas from you. X

They both have their merits . PCing gives a delicious moist result . Steam roast gives you that delicious moist result but with the addition of that delicious crackling. Both work really well , if push came to shove I'd go steam roast

Great video, very new to the ninja foodi and thinking of trying this for Christmas Day but not sure how long it’s going to take. Can you give me any idea?
@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Жыл бұрын
@Curlychewie from memory around an hour but give yourself 2 that allows for longer cooking and of course the rest

Can’t thank you enough! It came out perfectly!

If I could get gammon I would do flips in the isle but alas here in the USA all they do is smoked ham. My mum would buy boiling bacon and finish it in the oven to crisp up the fat 😘👍🏼❤️

You didn't say how long you cook it for?
@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Жыл бұрын
I didnt because I used the probe and cooked to temperature using the manual setting set at 70c

Hi .. The 70c part ... is that the target probe temp?.

How long do you cook it afte rsteaming it for 10 minutes
@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Жыл бұрын
@venipillay6412 the probe tells you when it is up to temp and cooked , so it depends on size . With steam roasting and using thr probe , you set it and forget it
