You Need Armed Police Escort in This Pakistan City 🇵🇰

Күн бұрынMultan, Pakistan a city where tourists rarely ever visit. As we attempted to step out of our hotel the receptionist informed us we needed an armed police escort to follow us everywhere in the city. When there were no taxis available, we got to ride in the back of the police truck. We took them out for Multani fried fish at Allah Wasaya, the best fish restaurant in town, and visited the beautiful tomb of a Sufi Saint. While exploring the tombs and learning the history, 3 people were arrested and thrown into the back of the police truck... with us!
We ended by getting some famous Multan Sohan Halwa for dessert, while our criminal friends waited inside the police vehicle for us.
Unfortunately traveling like this means we rarely get any interaction with locals or get to explore the city in our own way. You can see in the video many times where the police would move people away or stop them from coming near us which was disappointing. Also, notice the way they were extremely quick to shut down my suggestion of security issues in this area. What do you think about this?

How well and fully protected way, the Pakistani police are giving you is a kind gesture. Yeah theres another hotel that accepts foreigners but its like 8x more expensive so this one is an okay option. Did you notice the staff all seem so sad, never once do they smile or have any energy in their voice - so strange. Decent enough hotel just a shame there's no heating when it's so cold. Hope you had an interesting time, its a unique experience for sure but never the same as getting to walk the streets and do as you wish

My wife and I were in Karachi last month, travelled from Karachi to Sukku by car. No hassle. In sukkur they offered voluntary police escort,. From larkana to moen Jo daro and back to Hyderabad, had armed police escort. But we were treated very respectful and hospitable…

Im glad to see that you got to try the food and see the sights in Multan. Its an ancient City. Your gonna love Lahore. Funny experience... Police was not only giving you guys protection and ride but was doing their job meanwhile by capturing people from the road and the most funny part was that the people who got arrested were in the same cabin with you guys and even were waiting for you when you were buying halwa.. this is the 1st time I commented on some KZfaq video but believe me it was so funny that I couldn't stop myself. I'm from multan but I'm upset to see this side of multan especially when man ask you for gift and for your currency like coins and also upset for nonsense activity of police..... Multan is a safe city so you don't have to need of police.... Last year I saw some foreigners in multan and they also have a police with them and with police you didn't enjoy as you can enjoy alone..... But naturally the pakistani people are nice and the hospitality is good but I'm sure here you pay money for fish meal to the all....😅
