Hey buddy I’m not certain what you mean by treated turf? In my mind you mean grass or sod that is treated? Which is what I cut on weekly. If that’s what you are talking about my hyperdrive cuts extremely well and I have not truly seen another mower striping that put it to shame. All mowers will stripe. I’ve used a scag, exmark , Husqvarna, Dixie chopper, and John Deere extensively and I’m very pleased with my hyperdrive. I’ve never used anything but the 66” deck so I can’t talk on the 60”. X mark and hustler used boat drive on their deck to hold it in place which doesn’t move like chains so if you go sideways on a hill, it won’t let your deck shift making your stripe have swerves like some mowers. If there’s a test you would like to see that I haven’t done or there’s some reason I haven’t proved it cut to you. Let me know.

I’d fully recommend trying a demo out on what ever grass you have. If that dealer will not demo I wouldn’t buy from them.

@@americandream_89 Thanks for the advice! By treated turf I just mean nicer cool-season grass on a weed-control/fertilizer plan. I own a lawncare company. Right now I use Scag and Im super happy with how they stripe and cut, but our Hustler dealer is 2 mins from my house. Right now we have 2 dash34s, a X-one 60, and a Super Z 60. The Super z is a great machine but with the 60in VX4 it occasionally leaves uncut patches that I notice. On forums other have claimed the same thing, but in your reviews the cut quality on the 66 looks really good, even beating the scags. Im looking into getting a 66 hyperdrive and we already have the fleet discount through Hustler. Just wondering if you ever had cut quality issues. Thanks, I love the channel!

@@exteriorriotgear1274 have you tried the Ballard hi-rise on yours yet? If not I’d like to see what you think of them versus the OEM

@@americandream_89 No I haven't only OEM. I can give them a shot though. Another thing I noticed is the VX4 60 discharge side is in-line with the rear tire and on your 66 it looks like it sticks out past, so that would make striping a whole lot easier.
