Video consistency in stable diffusion can be optimized when using control net and EBsynth. In this 2nd tutorial, I'll share Tokyojab's knowledge gained in the past 3 months, along with the insights I've acquired from experimenting with his temporal consistency method over the last 2 weeks.
Tokyojab uses the text2img tab instead of the img2img tab in stable diffusion, which allows for incredible style transfer in high resolution quality. It's a crucial step to achieve flicker free and consistent AI animation.
He calls it the temporal consistency method. It's the best flickerfree AI video technique I've come across in 2023, made possible with stablediffusion, controlnet, and EBsynth. Get ready to take your videos to the next level with these powerful tools!

Love the tutorial! Tokyo Jab is a true pioneer of AI video and super generous with his knowledge. And your tutorials are the best resource for people to learn this method. Some anecdotes from the trenches. I've been using these techniques to stylize footage of real actors shot on a green screen stage. This method doesn't deal well with blinking, dialogue, shadows and motion blur. If the person is standing still with their eyes wide open, it's fine, but as soon as they start moving fast, talking and blinking, it falls apart and other techniques are needed to bridge the gap. Also, at 11:22, you talk about Jab's technique of rendering out the entire clip for each keyframe and manually crossfading in resolve. But, you don't have to do that one at a time. You can just set the start frame to 1 and the end frame to the last frame in ebsynth, and you can render them all out at once. Again, great video! Please keep making them and hope you feel better soon :)

Hey there, yeah tokyojab is amazing. and I'm glad you like my video. it seems you know a lot about EBsynth, much more than I do. thanks for your tip about rendering out the entire clip and set the start frame to 1 and the end frame to the last frame in ebsynth, By the way this wasn't a technique jab advised me, but it was merely something I did out of the necessity to get more overlap. I I also found out the same things what you mentioned about working with EBsynth, that this method doesn't deal well with blinking, dialogue, shadows and motion blur. If the person is standing still with their eyes wide open, it's fine, but as soon as they start moving fast, talking and blinking, it falls apart and other techniques are needed to bridge the gap. It would be great, if either stable diffusion or EBsynth, would get GAN training, like what deep face lab has for deep fake videos, so we could train it. I would love to stay in contact with you and also would be delighted to see some of the videos you created. wish you a nice weekend

If you want to create a character which is not so close to the grid image, like it is with mine in this tutorial. then you should try not to use the line art controlnet and only the open post and depth map control night. then stable diffusion will go more crazy with your characters. but it also gets then it would be much more difficult to sync the lip movements. but if you have a shot where you don't talk I think this could be fine. wish you a nice weekend

Somehow the depth extention only outputs the depth map mask, no pure black/white version and only the last frame of the original frames cutout. I know that it created all of them in the prozess but it doesnt save them somehow. At the end of the process I watched what happens inside the folder and as it created all the depth maps the original frames cutout version file at the top just changed like its playing a move inside my file icon. It changed with every depth frame that was created so now i only have the last frame. I used all the settings that you used (but the UI got updated so i cant find "combine axis" and "Show Depthmap" got changed to Output "Depth Map"). Is there some setting that can fix this?

It would be interesting to fins out why it's so much more stable with grids. I think it mudt have to do with self-attention. There has to be a way of gettng the self attention effect in a different way. Perhaps outpainting? 🤔

it has to do with how images are generated. each image is generated through one single latent noise space and the seed "comes in" trying to reshape the noise latent space into something else, it basically translates the noise into your prompt. So when you use a grid, you're generating those 4 positions of the same person in the exact same seed and latent space, and so... you achieve a huge consistency because the AI is using the exact same params and generating all the grid positions in a single batch.

@digital_magic so I have actually ran into some conflicts Step for step word for word I copied correctly Only difference is angle of subject I had a LOT more frames than yourself at over 250 so I surmise that's my issue However I ended up with every iteration in monochrome sepia style Nice as that is I wanted the background and lighting to carry through not give me a constant yellow brown tonal effect And when rendering the final set of frames it all went to pot and I ended up with a messy blotchy woman dancing Any ideas? Try 20 key frames and pick every motion change..? Try 40 key frames and really be precise with movements? Static talking isn't what I'm going for but the concept and it's scaleability certainly are I want to dance on camera and completely change my body into an anime avatar fluidly and As you say Without flicker Any niche settings I should know about sir?

@@Failed_Society_Real Hey there, thanks for your explanation. it is nice to have contact with my viewers in this way. do you have a link of the video so I can see the result. this would make it easier for me to help you. I would definitely try to have at least 20 or 25 keyframes between every keyframe. this is something I also didn't in my second tutorial video and then I didn't have enough overlap for a good transition. I figured out that in most cases with EBsynth it does quite well with the keyframe 25 frames before it and 25 frames after it. Something I've also learned is that it is very important to look at your original keyframes and the keyframes that stable the fusion made and compare them carefully. most of the times you can see where EBsynth could go wrong potentially. In my second tutorial I also show the technique where I merge both of the images to create more of the original keyframes back into the keyframes that stable diffusion created. this way you give EBsynth a bigger chance to do it right. and I masked out the mouths to help EBsynth even more. I hope this helps and I would love to see some work what you created. wish you a nice weekend

@@digital_magic no I am about to graduate from my medical degree. So you said autoimmune and then shoulder and elbow pain so I just had a logical guess. That's all. But some conditions have to met to confirm RA.

totaly irrelevant to this video but myself and like half my family and friends have all gotten "autoimmune" deseies in the last few years and we all have had the vaccines lol so the way i see it is either it was us getting covid that has done something the vaccines are doing something or there is a very real epidemic going around that people should be figuring out asap this is just my personal observation im also dealing with one super awsome and i too just so happend to have it develop 3 months after my 2nd shot of moderna but i also had gotten covid during the middle of the shots so who knows

I am sorry to hear about your problems after the vaccinations. I agree with you that there's probably something strange going on because many people have issues. I hope to be fit again in 4 months I hope that will work for you as well or maybe even faster. I appreciate your comment and I wish you a very nice day

Homeopathic doctor?! Was that a bad joke or what? 😢
@digital_magic
@digital_magic Жыл бұрын
No that wasn't a bad joke, even my normal doctor advised me to go there. in my region she is famous for healing people that suffers from the Epstein bar virus. I have been to an arthritis specialist and a neurologist before and they all couldn't find something. And this homeopathic doctor is also a normal doctor as well. wish you a nice weekend.

@@digital_magic ok, thanks for the explanation. You got me bit scared here. Of course I should not give you medical advice, but my skin problems are getting better with excercise and time outside. Don't rely on sugar pills with your health. All the best!

@@TomekSw Do you mean that most homeopathic pills are just placebos?
@TomekSw
@TomekSw Жыл бұрын
@@digital_magic yes, I think all, your doctor he can give you some behavioral advice as homeopathic doctors are known from listening to their patients much more, but the pills themselves can't be much help really. When I was younger and sillier I've eaten two of boxes of homeopathic sleeping pills and stayed up whole night just to make a point. :p

@@digital_magic All of them are placebo's, only rheumatologists have received enough training to diagnose and treat systemic auto-immune diseases. If you feel that the homeopathy is working good for you, but don't get scammed of your money.

what did you do when you said drag background into background, too fast?
@digital_magic
@digital_magic Жыл бұрын
I am sorry if it was too fast. I was trying to make the video not too long, cuz on KZfaq the content can't be too boring. what I meant was, go with your mouse on the square from the background node and then drag that on to the other background Node. If you hold ALT, when you drag then if you drag onto the other node, and then let go of the left mouse button, you Get a sort of a drop-down menu. then choose background. now it automatically pipes that node into the background of the other node. I hope this helps and I wish you a nice day
