As a Nigerian I'll advice you to be very careful with the kind of places you go to. And if you must go, take a local tour guide who understands the language, a lot of negotiations were being done amongst themselves right in your presence before they asked you to pay $100 and you couldn't understand them. Also for your own safety and that of jossy, kindly confirm the security situation of a particular location before venturing there, many Nigerians wouldn't go to that place you went myself inclusive. Just stay safe and enjoy your tourism.

From the initial fighter joke of the owner, to the Texas gun joke, to the dodging bullets, to the teach me kung fu. Everyone is trying to present as much strength as possible. This is the type of tension and demeanor you only see in movies lol. Great video man!

I can't imagine how I would have kept my cool if I were there in real life, but seeing the way Tommy handled it was cool. I've been in a few dodgy situations, but this had my adrenaline going. If I had stood up at the moment when Tommy did as he walked to the window, my knees would have been shaking and I would have totally gave my cool away and been ready to run or fight. He handled it so cool. I will definitely take note, but also avoid Nigerian brothels too!

@@SabbaticalTommy I wouldn't put it that way. Nigeria is actually one of the hubs of Guinness in the world. It is a little known fact. Nigeria is actually the 2nd largest market for Guinness, bigger than the Irish market. I kid you not. I traveled to this place in July. I'm biracial (Nigerian/Canadian). I was accompanied by my cousin, a Lagosian. This is a community full of loving folks, but they're living in survival mode. We met with a local teacher who guided us throughout the village. Had we gone without a local Makoko resident, I confidently believe things could have turned out bad for us. We had to pay 1000N to a few agitated men to leave us alone. This is a very intimate community. The amount of attention I garnered was wild. You are walking through hundreds of people's homes with every step. A surreal experience.

Prepare a ton of cash if you are going to these kinds of environment as you can see he is clearly getting extorted.
