YES! Monogatari Series is a must-watch. You might not know what exactly is going on or what it's about, but damn it's somehow one of the most enjoyable and mindblowing anime series I've seen. Its soundtracks are great too!

Holy fuck this is so true. Context, this is my favorite series of like 400 series watched on MAL. I couldn’t explain the emptiness I felt after bake towards araragi and senjougahara’s relationship and this is definitely why. That date scene was so peak, that they didn’t ever try to top it again, and let other seasons peak in different areas. And the rest of the show your meant to understand there relationship with that date as context as to how deep there relationship is.

its surprisingly simple. Look up the novels and watch that order, its the same as anime release order but with Kizu after Bake. Fate is beyond confusing and debatable as far as order is concerned but Monogatari is literally just follow the books.

Back in 2020 when I first watched it I understood nothing but it was so expressive I was always intrigued by what I was watching. So when I rewatched it last year it felt like I didn't even watch the show but I no longer found it confusing and I found a deep appreciation of the series. One of my favorite things about it is that It explored great depths of human emotions which in universe manifests into various creatures in a similiar fashion to the Persona series. I love Monogatari and Persona so much because both explore the human psyche, a topic in which I am very interested in, learning about these characters backstories and deeply emotional moments big or small is such a fun and enjoyable time immersing yourself into these stories.

@@BagusHallim I watched the anime and then read some of the novels, sadly don't have time to go through all of them. The novels are honestly great, and having read them after the Anime I could confront the two to see what the anime left out, which is mostly some nuanced details and stuff like that. The novels do give you a more detailed outlook on the various stories but the anime compensates with stunning visuals, soundtrack and voice acting. I personally suggest starting with the anime, then try reading the novels if you're invested. As for watch order, you can commonly find 2 different opinions on how to experience the show: One is following Nisioisin's original release timeline; the other one is following Studio Shaft's release. The difference, as far as I'm aware, is the positioning of Kizumonogatari in the watch order. Nisio's puts Kizu right after Bake and before Nise, while Shaft's puts Kizu after the first season of Owari. It may sound confusing, so if you have any doubts you can ask! You can also find the watch order online for further clarity.

@@BagusHallim Yes that's right, Bake comes first. You can watch Kizu right after as it gives context on Koyomi's recent past events. Altough I watched Kizu after Owarimonogatari's first season, and I enjoyed the change of pace after the big cliffhanger that happens at the end of Owari.

this video right here, is what got me to watch monogatari which is now my FAVORITE anime, i started monogatari exactly a month from now and im commenting right after finishing zoku, all i gotta say that it was truly peak and that i cant believe that i dint watch it like 5 years ago because of some panties, but honestly at the same time im thankful im watching it now, since back then i would have definetly been confused and not as focused since i wasnt into dialouge heavy anime, now that im more into that stuff im grateful i got to experience it and it was a great journey, i cant wait for off and monster season to drop this year, thank you kito for this amazing reccomendation and introducing me to my favorite anime.

Well for me, the watch order will be the novel release order. Its true watching kizu first will help u understand shinobu in Bake, however u dont know why the mc would save a vampire, to me it would feel strange. But if you watch Bake, by the end you understand mc motivations and how he basically is and the scene in kizu makes more sense.

The Books are so damn good I've read the first volume of Bakemonogatari around 500 times I can read it in 45 minutes the Quote "People saving each other is Impossible," is my favorite quote in all of littereture. people tried to save me from bad personal situation won't say what but all it did make things worse until my best friend brought up that quote and added "I can't save you, but I can give you the tools to save yourself."
