Great list. Three of the five picks are easily attainable for the most part. Old Fitz is allocated and usually 2x+ retail and Wm LaRue is in the stratosphere. But if one can get a hold of either, these are great picks. Also, the music in your videos kick ass on any and all comers.

Just 5? Couldn't imagine! Have only seen 2 of your list in my area in central lower Michigan. Most of my friends would not appreciate anything beyond WT 101 anytime so we have that covered. I can accomplish providing all of my favorites in the $30-$40 range that are readily available. Eagle Rare, 4 Roses Small batch, Gentleman Jack, Woodford Reserve Rye and Russle's Reserve. Scotch is wonderful also but not worth the price today although Monkey Shoulder a good one for around $35 now.

I think I could legitimately be happy with only five whiskeys for the rest of my life, but I don't think my selections could fit that well into this format. I would just want all of my bases covered instead of bottles for specific occasions. Mine would be something more like one bourbon, one peated scotch, one sherried scotch, an Irish, and a Japanese, or something like that. Making sure that I have variety rather than situational picks.

Daily- Early Times Bond, Impress- I don't care to impress, Mixer- I do not mix, Friday- Buffalo/Weller, Shock people- Spirits of the Apocalypse. Make me weak- Angel's Envy rye or Ironroot Harbinger or EHT.

I like Wild Turkey 101 but I never buy it because I always get 1792 or Old Forester 100 instead. I have a lot of bourbon right now but maybe next time I get low.

I found Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond a good while ago...it was the label that said buy me, and I was astounded at how good it was and such a value. But it disappeared from shelves here in Western Mass and when I looked for it online, it was said to be no longer made. WTF?

Damn, I went 3/3 with you at the end. Great minds think alike? 1. Knob Creek (bc it’s always available and a good value) 2. Lot B (bc of the name and the only one in that line I have) 3. OF Rye (bc it can fill in for bourbon or rye) 4. ECBP (bc why not?) 5. WLW (bc it’s definitely the best bourbon I have or have had)

Daily - Makers Mark Impress - Blantons, cool topper and is John Wick's drink Mixer - Buffalo Trace, but really price wise it would be Jack Daniels..because that is all it is good for Friday pour - Elijah Craig with Old Forester 1920 a close second Special - it would be Japanese whiskey .... sorry... :(... Hibiki Harmony or Nikka from the Barrel.... any special level bourbon is out of reach price wise north of the border

Was this a Bourbon only whiskey challenge list? If so your list is excellent. I prefer scotch so any list of 5 "whiskeys" has to include some scotch for me. Especially in the daily drinker category.

Today I went to my liquor store I frequent the most to pick up a bottle of wine that my wife was going to gift to someone and the employee there remembered me asking about ECBP offered me a bottle of B520 for 65 dollars in which I snatched up today. I left there acting like a giddy old school girl lol. ECBP should be on everyone's bucket list of Bourbons to try.

Good luck finding anything Elijah Craig. It's been tatered as badly as any Pappy, which I have yet to see in the wild. Daily: Evan Williams Bottled In Bond. Impress: Buffalo Trace Mixer: Old Grand Dad 114 Friday: Wild Turkey Rare Breed Special Occasion: Rabbit Hole Dareringer. I'd like to add that the Evan Williams Bottled In Bond is the bottle I put out for guests, especially when I host pool (billiard) nights. I'm not putting out anything above $30 for guests, generally. Hell, if I wanted to impress, I'd get a bottle of Blantons and fill it with Evan Williams Bottled In Bond.
