I don't care what anyone says, this song and Jagged Little Pill were one of the best songs and albums of the 90's.

He was one of the first drummers she worked with on her first "Jagged Pill" tour, no doubt a vulnerable time in her life. Taylor's energy brightened the corners of a lot of people's lives...it's a huge void in the music world.

Who was the last guy on stage she hugged? He held on longer than she wanted and gave him a dirty look. Alanis is all about woman empowerment so I am sure she didn't like that overly embracing male. why did she ignore the other guy on the other end. he kept looking at her during the music and she didn't make eye contact. honestly i think this was her poorest performance. she even forgot the lyrics at one point, she had no stage presence. it felt like she left her hubby in the car with the kids and had to rush off to go home or something. just not engaged.

Glad you can infer her feelings from a few second clip taken hundreds of feet away. I wish I had that superpower. And BTW, then “last guy on stage” that hugged her to long for your liking was legendary punk guitarist Pat Smear.

I went back to study in my 20s and this younger woman gave me a mix TAPE yep and this was the first song. Its like she understood me through my writing and it made this gorgeous, non flirtatious young woman infinitely more interesting. It wasn't really sexual bc i was in a v toxic violent relationship but we became friendly. I was struggling w my violent partner and this song drew me and this student closer and we became knowing friends. beauty
