I have NEVER met anyone that has the same Christmas tradition as our family! We used to have to put a little concert just like yours before we opened gifts! My dad has 8 brothers and sisters and all of us kids would be practising for months leading up to our Christmas get-together so that we could share a piece of what we'd been working on. My cousins and I were reminiscing on this tradition just a couple of days ago and talking about how we didn't know anyone else that did this. And now I do! LOVE IT, GUYS! :)

You guys (and your extended family) have kinda become like my family. I'm only 38 & both my parents are gone now. I had the kind of relationship with them you guys have with each other. I have my husband's side of the family but they are at an arm's length. They like it that way. We get together at Christmas and they say they want to get together more but when we try - they can't ever give us a time or day. I love that while I am recovering from major abdominal surgery over Christmas and can't go anywhere this year... I can turn on the KZfaq app & spend time with my other family!
