Good stuff. In my next fix, I'll have to try this cause I always sanding down too much and can see the mesh tape that I use.

Funny because I just bought the delko banjo tonight and I bought fibafuse for the flats and bought paper for my corners not knowing what will be better, I'll let you know what I like better for corners tomorrow (I've always just used paper for everything and also hand taped everything as well). Great channel thanks so much!!

I saw this video pop up and my immediate thought was i have used that tape alot and I have some input. But you covered all the pros and cons I was gonna add. Ive tried it on corners but prefer paper tape. If fibafuse comes out with a tape with a seam for corners I would buy it and replace the paper tape roll I carry.

I am a DIYr and have very little skills for drywall taping but I’ve gotten awesome results using the FibaFuse tape even in the corners

I love the fibreglass tape. I just do renovation work and that’s all I have ever used for butt joints. Used it for about 10 years and never had a job crack yet. With corners I only use preformed inner and outer corners. They make the job so much easier. Ya it can give you a sliver or two but they go away after a bit. Best invention for joints yet.

Thanks for the mention, Paul. The only reason I use the corner trowel, is it doesn't cut into the Fibefuse. The corners are exceptable, but, paper tape definitely gives a sharper finish, even though the Fibefuse does have a crease. I'll let you know when I have perfected it. Drywalltube.

I used some yesterday without gloves or PPE & my hands were itching a lot afterwards. I used apple cider vinegar, rubbed on generously for a few minutes, then washed & rinsed with cold water. Dissolved nicely.

Been using this for a few months now(because of you). Tried in in a corner with corner tool and won't do that again. Paper in the corners. It is greatest thing for patch work. I use it instead of a hot/california patch now. I cut mine with scissors instead of knife, less airborne fiber. I also store it in an old plastic type grocery bag.

Hey Paul. I've been using this stuff for years since it first came out. Great tape. I find the 6" rolls to come in very hand for repairs as well. Working the corners edges with FF takes finesse otherwise it is easy to cut the Fuse. Haven't seen you in awhile since the forum days. Workaholic.

I just taped my first joints ever and used this. Can’t believe how flat it lays. And I did quickly learn that it bites into my skin. But the look is incredible!

I use FIBA fuse on my flats and butts. Paper tape on inside corners.

I like the aspects of this tape and will try it, for my corners I use the perforated tape and just fold it in half apply the mud and use a corner trowel

Thanks Paul, I love the paper tape in the corners I guess after 18 years it seems weird to put anything else on inside corners but I haven't tried the FIBA tape. I would use it for repairs just not on corners. Paper tape is hard to beat

I have been eyeballing the stuff but have yet to try it. It's nice how you can use it with compound. I think I saw 6" wide at the supplier when I was there last. I will have to test it out on my next repair. Thanks for the info

Yeh good video , I was going to use this but changed my mind when I found out about the particles flying around , can’t be good for your lungs & I hate wearing a mask unless I’m sanding .

I'm a DIYer. I only do this type of work when necessary. I have only worked with drywall repair twice. The 1st time I painted my house and now. I got a new roof and a lot of nail pops and drywall seam cracks due to the construction. I tried the fiba fuse on the ceiling and walls where I had to rip the old tape out. I don't use it on corners but it's nice because it fits right back inside the channel left behind from the old tape. Not too hard to blend in once it sets. I haven't tried it on cracks or repairs though. I think I will stick to paper for those until I'm convinced otherwise.

I NEVER use fiberglass mesh tape. I usually use FibaFuse for all straight joints. As you say a corner trowel will work with FibaFuse in the corners but I still prefer paper in the corners. With paper I sometimes use a corner trowel and I sometimes use flat knives and I don't really have hard and fast rule for which I do. FibaFuse is the best, thanks for the video.

Paul, I'm going to be dangerous with after watching your videos! Unbelievabley helpful. Quick question. What's your recommendation for primer before painting over wallpaper.

I work in Switzerland 9 years ago and they only use fiber, and only since last couple years was starting using in Portugal, I only use fiber and paper only for the corners.. Much better finish with the fiber.

I will never use anything else again. I forgot to recoat a small tape line and was able to sand into the tape and it felt as though there was no tape.

Mate the tape has to be used on all joins otherwise every join in your house will crack & open up .

Been running it through a banjo for years. Just make sure the mud is not too thick. With the Delco corner attachment, it will lay into the angles nicely. Then smooth with a corner tool layed relatively flat.

Listen let’s be real. Why in 2022 have we not moved past shit paper tape as a trade ? Other trades progress and taping just never seems to other than tools.

Never use the fiber fuse but I've definitely use the paper tape in that angles as far as the corner trial you can throw that thing in the garbage is useless in my book
