自從2005年我離開台灣到美國求學後，我就很少和台灣的家人一起過節。好不容易在開始上班一段時間後，可以有機會請假，卻遇到了世紀病毒。為了讓台灣的家人還可以看到我的樣子，於是我開始錄製影片，自己剪輯所有影片。這首歌，剛好就在母親節前夕完成，影片中，我穿著外婆半世紀以前做給媽媽的洋裝，是我對她們在遠方的思念。
Since I left Taiwan in 2005, I haven't celebrated many holidays with my family. Therefore, just right before the Covid pandemic, I told my mom that I will take a vacation and celebrate Mother's Day with her next year, however, I already disappointed her twice... This song is for her, and for many families who opened their home to me since I moved to the USA. I am blessed to have many "homes" and loves across the country: Kentucky, Ohio, and Hawaii. This video is supported by my gung gung (grandpa in Cantonese), Dr. Lawrence Tseu. He has been my royal fans since I first met him 4 years ago. He is a cool men to be around with.

Winner of Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award 2018, Sun-Hui Hung 洪充惠, born in Taiwan, studied erhu from the age of seven. She has won numerous major awards, including the prestigious Outstanding Artist Award at the Taiwan National Erhu Competition. After earning a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from The Ohio State University, she continues to collaborate with a variety contemporary composers & musicians from World, Western-classical, Chinese and other musical backgrounds. She had been invited to perform at various esteemed venues around the world, leaving only Austria and Antarctica on her bucket list. Since becoming a resident of Hawaii in 2016, she has developed an interest in combining erhu with music of Aloha. Don't be fooled by her charming picture, she is also a champion of Taiwan National Taichi competition.
