I disagree with SIE C. My father is alive and well-ish and left us when I was 5. I've grown into an accomplished and educated young man (i'm 35 now) and not once do I feel the need for him. I have peace in me without needing to forgive him for being a deadbeat. You don't get to be forgiven for making deliberate mistakes and then not trying to correct them. If you don't think about them, they don't exist, and no forgiveness is needed and you move forward with your life. @@manifestationofgod1379 I understand what you mean abt circumstances however if I lose my job or my health dwindles (and if Dad wasn't around) I will ask a trusting family member or friend to be a guardian to my son until I can do better. He will NOT go into the system to strangers. But as long as he has 2parents I would never be too prideful or selfish to not allow him to be with his father until I can do better.

Sometimes family be the ones to turn on you and call the state. I say that because I was in the system due to lies and mishaps. But one thing for sure my mother was an awesome mother and she fought the state for 5 years to get us back. They had no real reason to remove us. We suffered mentally and physical abuse in the system.

Just watching this family react to the results shows us all why that poor girl was in foster care and now she's taking her anger, aggression and self-hatred out on others. Lord Jesus what a messed up situation.
