If Ngannou beats Joshua, I don't think he should get a title shot (he will, but he shouldn't.) Why? Because winning a world title isn't just about one or two fights, it's about dozens of fights, progressing up through the rankings, which cements a fighter's credibility as a contender and ultimately as a champion. If someone wins a title off the back of 3 fights, it increases the possibility of them getting there because an opponent had an off night, wasn't properly prepared or because of some fluke (Fury for instance was nowhere near his best when they fought.) But if he wins a title after progressing through the rankings he has already proved his credentials and it's therefore very likely that he actually is the best out there.
