I honestly feel like Geeta is overhated. Seriously, her team is cool, she has many types of pokemon just like Cynthia, the problem was the order of her team, and even with that problem, she's still decent, it was intentional, probably because if she uses kingambit at the last moment, the battle would be over if it uses sucker punch, so, it's actually very possible that Geeta sabotaged herself to make her own battle easier. Plus, she's a cool character, she's not that bad, she's kind and really serious at the same time, you can see she clearly likes her job, and that's amazing.

The funny thing is that Avalugg can put in work as a strange physical wall who can situationally clear hazards and Body Press but the rest of the team has to be on cleanup duty and must take care of mixed attackers, Ghost types, and special attackers. You can’t just plop Avalugg anywhere and expect it to work. So why does Geeta have an Avalugg on her presumably balanced, anti-lead hazard stacking team (assuming she nerfed herself to merely be the first step to champion-level?) There isn’t any semblance of thought there. It’s like her battle is a formality.

I also never understood this as half of her team is easily wiped by ground moves. So my mudsdale ended up sweeping through a majority of her team in one hit kos. That was EXTREMELY disappointing considering the struggle I went through with 3 of her elite 4s. Also, Nemonia supposedly beat her without using her true power? Are we saying that someone who's supposed to be the climax for all pokemon trainers on the journey to become champion is PURPOSEFULLY sucking at her job and letting them all pass? That makes her worse in my opinion. Like all the crap we went through to train our pokemon and all the work put into coming up with the best move sets and typing all amounted to nothing? The elite 4 were the BEST we were gonna get? Bring back Cynthia, Leon or hell I'd even take Kokui.

Honestly, I could buy it if only one of her weird pokemon choices were ran, in a similar manner as Red running Pikachu. Having a favorite that she's adamant on running would be a nice touch, so long as the rest of the team was competent.

Even if it didn't come out 164 days ago, most of these points make complete sense regardless.

It’s really funny that she leads with a Pokémon that lowers your special defense, and then refuses to send in her only other special attacker until the end.

@@sumthinorother9615 Ye but Espathra can usually two shot any Pokemon with by doubling Lumina Crash, and I'm sure the devs didn't want Geeta to just start sweeping people. The Espathra lead was a fine pick I'd say.

@@queenlolo1384 that also depends on execution, as you should well know. Sometimes an unfair boss can be hated rather than loved. Still, it is true that Gamefreak could have improved the execution of Champion Geeta's fight. That's probably why Nemona's fight is substantially harder.

@@ToxicPea I do think things could go into unfair territory, but I don't think it would've been so with Geeta. I think having a champion like Cynthia in Diamond and Pearl was great. Diamond and Pearl was a very easy game at the beginning. However, you get to the Elite Four and BOOM! It smacks you in the head with how tough they are. I think Scarlet and Violet should have been like that. I made up a fantasy team for Geeta that would've been hard and fun to fight: - Glimmora lead holding a shuca berry (to counteract the 4x ground weakness) with the moveset: Sludge wave, Energy Ball, Earth Power, Power Gem - Arboliva: Terrain Pulse, Strength Sap, Hyper Voice, Reflect - Dondozo: Earthquake, Liquidation, Body Press, Order Up - Armarouge (scarlet) holding power herb with: Solar Beam, Aura Sphere, Psychic, Flash Fire - Ceruledge (violet) holding power herb with: Solar Blade, Bitter Blade, Close Combat, Shadow Claw - Gholdengo: Shadow Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Make it Rain, Power Gem - King Gambit with dark Tera Type: Iron Head, Aerial Ace, Kowtow Cleave, and Swords Dance That would've been hard, but fun and challenging. I feel like Pokemon Diamond and Pearl was the perfect game, because while everything was relatively easy going, the boss was actually challenging.

Pokemon isn't a kids game tho it's a game for everyone, plenty of their marketing has adults playing the games and they put all that nostalgia into the games to keep adults returning, plus games plenty were harder and more thought out when we were kids so why shouldn't they also be for this generation's kids? Personally when I was a kid I loved when things were challenging, it felt super satisfying to keep ramming my dumb little head at it until I finally overcame the hurdle

@@OakBlu please consider: plenty of the marketing has adults because they know that they can release any nostalgia driven nonsense with the pokemon label on it and those adults will still buy it anyway.
