There will be some damage but when done by a professional it is a lot safer

Lol, yes they are. but what is more damaging is colouring the hair and turning right around and bleaching right back over it. Also, I'm a hairdresser. I would NEVER ! We use two separate foils, one for lightner and the other for color, at the same time.
