This might be one of our favorite videos so far. We were recently contacted by this ladies caretaker to ask if we could help with her massively overgrown yard. We said absolutely and found out that not only did she actually had a stroke which has greatly impaired her ability to do any physical activity in the yard but when she recently hired someone to help her they scammed her out of her money and left her yard unfinished. So we came out last week and took care of the front which she said was unrecognizable to her friends when they saw it and today we will be working on the backyard and patio. Now this woman has been so amazingly grateful and kind and the reason this might be my favorite yard is because we have a huge surprise for her when we finish today. As senior citizens I can appreciate the 'blessing' to this lady so much. We have a man that cuts our lawn. We have a porch with three steps (concrete), my husband has fallen going up the steps twice lately, once breaking his wrist (he has parkinson's and has balance issues with stairs) and I just had knee replacement and have to be very careful on the steps. The man that cuts our yard works for a construction company part time. They let him have left over stuff from jobs. He put up a handicap rail for us and would not take any money for doing it, said he just wanted us to be safe. Words cannot express my appreciation for what he did.

As we all age and all get older, things happen in our lives that at some point restricts us in to what we can do, and such a blessing when people like Justin and his son comes along to help. I can only imagine how much it is all appreicated by Barbara. God continue to bless you and your sons.

My only wish and prayers is that there are more people like this young man and his sons. And what a wonderful thing this company that sponsored the video did to help this lady after someone else took advantage of her and cheated her out of her money she paid them to clean up her yard. I see videos like this and it just reaffirms my belief that there are still wonderful people in our world and it's sad the news media only reports about all the bad things that are taking place in our country and not reporting or making positive news about situations like this. How hard to have been, as she described, independent and after a stroke, needing help. She's a lady with a lot of pride and I know as hard as it is for her to accept help, she is truly appreciative of the work and the gift you folks have given her. I wish her well going forward.

A big thank you to Empower. I love these stories when someone like her living alone a scammer taking advantage of her so cruel inhumane. Then a wonderful kind hearted caring person does such a kind deed for her its wonderful. The dear soul was in complete shock. I think she needed a chair to set on to get her strength back. Wow, that is one large home it would cost a fortune to heat it. Thanks for doing some of the work delivering that wonderful surprise for the darling lady in need, you your sones are wonderful people so caring hard workers, they don't come any better. Thank you for sharing. The story reminds me of when I moved in with my mother, at her request, to help her financially but also caregiver as she is a cancer survivor now. I love gardens, flowers, perennials and annuals, and the next spring summer her front yard was so transformed that her friends thought she had moved due to the plants, roses, lilies, and front porch decorated. One day they decided to come and knock to see if the new owner knew what had happened to mom and they got a tour of even the back gardens and patio. Beauty brings joy to the heart. Blessings.

This is cool BB’s, I gave the ladies new plants and mulch during my last big clean up with Copper Creek Cuts and they were over the moon happy. I’m sure if I would have given them cash instead, they would have been even happier haha. You’re doing great work and it’s cool to see how you and your boys do it.
