iRacing should really have a telemetry window built in by now.

I came here for Grid and Go info, and holy cow, I never knew about the active reset option in iRacing! Game changer!!!

When you hit the reset button, you can hold it down and it will put you back to the reset point and pause. Then you can set your steering and throttle to where is should be at that point which is normally full throttle and straight ahead if your reset point is on a straight. Then release the button and off you go. You will now reach your corner with the same speed.

These tips are priceless. This is by far my favorite sim racing channel. I just got into iRacing after ACC (from the it's beginnings) and am hugely enjoying it. Anyone have any idea of VRS has this telemetry overlay (from their data pack) on your own telemetry as well?

Hey Dan! I recently upgraded to a SC2 Pro & GSI Hyper and was able to get within 2 seconds of where I needed to be for my skill set, but I tried out this Grid and Go app on this video and I’m already seeing where I am too tentative to drive into the corner and get back on throttle. Go review and hopefully I’ll find another second with it and be on my way to 2k!

I wish all sims would have this practice feature. Being a beginner it takes me a lot of time to practice the individual corners, time that i don’t have :(. Amazing video btw.

Thanks for the video Dan. I use active reset and VRS for telemetry, but I like the GNG virtual coach feature where you can see the comparison while driving. I’ll have to try it out.

Thanks for the video Dan. I usually use active reset and when I’m comfortable I look at garage69 and compare my laptime with others. GnG was also very useful but too expensive.

Wish they had this in ACC - would be so helpful.

I love the GnG setups but the one thing I don’t like it the brake capping that they use. It does feel like cheating in a way

GnG, been using it for a month and it made me VERY much slower and develop bad habits, i honestly do not recommend it May work for some but it sure didnt for me

Hi Dan, I really like the idea of GNG virtual coach. But I have a question, can I choose the comparison telemetry (the light red line), or they just provide one telemetry ? The setups and driving style are different, basically, if I want to learn, I had better use the same setup and ideally they can provide the replays of the coach. Alternatively, I want to know whether the software allow me to upload other coach's telemetry file (such as VRS) so that I can compare with theirs'.

I keep missing you in LMP2 races (I'm in USA) - want to get in on one (Mark Elliott8). I've known about the feature, but not used it. Will certainly do it now on the same corners with the chicane after the bridge and final chicane with the wall of champions. haha

You mentioned before that you use very high forces in the wheel. Do you add a bunch of Natural Damper on the wheel?

Hi Dan, Great video. I'm going to try the reset feature! My approach to training has been endless practice sessions, followed by endless AI races. I have some telemetry software, but running a session and then analyzing it doesnt have the same impact on my brain as the immediate repetition and feedback demonstrated in the video. Definately going to try this out in my next session.

GnG looks good. I've been looking into it's features, but looks like not all cars in iracing have telemetry data. I race in the SRF series & that does not have data to compare myself against.

Hi @Dan Suzuki you mentioned you have a video of how to set up iracing without nvidia surround but the initial file you show in the video has changed it doesn't look the same when I go into the initial file. Can you update your initial file you linked in the description so I can copy and paste. All the settings you tell us too change are different and makes it impossible for me to do. Any help greatly appreciated

Thank s for the video! Can you analyze the lap compared to the datapack lap?? Like you do with VRS. I use a lot that feature in VRS to improve my lap times. It works very well. I would like to try Grid-and-Go.

I thought only the more arcady games had this type of rewind features. I can see it being more effective for sure, but to me it also takes away a bit of the immersion. I really hope the sims I play don't implement such a feature to be honest.
