Arguably the greatest vocalist in the last 50 years. Her versatility among genres is like no other.

This and Different Drum - two of the greatest "kiss-off" tunes ever. Delivered by the remarkable voice of Linda Ronstadt. Very special songbird both powerful and tender. No wonder the Boyz loved her so. Sigh...

👍 Nice bit of trivia there. I only knew him as the "Lonely Boy" one-hit wonder guy.

@Gary T . . . nice that you noticed Andrew Gold on keyboards. He came out with a superb debut album in 1975.

Yes, and on the original album release (Heart Like a Wheel) he could drum, too!

Almost as good as the one where jose introduces her as a country singer and she comes out bangin' this number.

In this later appearance, Andrew Gold still with her band, but instead of guitar like 1973, he's on Keyboards and backup vocals. This is a more honed version but misses the female background singers, and no long outro probably due to time.

Shortly after this performance Linda changed the band’s lineup adding Waddy Wachtel on guitar and Michael Potts on drums.

She was so awesome. If ever asked to play in her band I'd ask how much do I have to pay.

The missing ingredient from Linda's original take of this song was the great Andrew Gold.
