I think it's funny how quickly people immediately labeled Ollie as the prototype, yet the only evidence is the prototype can mimic voices and Ollie acts weird sometimes. I think Ollie was either a surviving orphan or a toy like Poppy and was helping Poppy originally in Chapter 3, which explains his weird mannerisms. If he was a kid that grew up in the factory and didn't have much teaching, of course he'd act a little weird. Though the more robotic voice update could show that the prototype either ended him/added him to his body or hijacked his signal during the Catnap battle.

Bruh I’ve been obsessed with Poppy Playtime and it’s lore and I’m I genuinely happy your making a video on it 📞 I’ve seen ALOT of theories about Ollie and his identity but the one I personally believe makes the most logical sense is that Ollie is actually the *security system* Think about it, when we first meet him he greets us from the phone (which never stops ringing no matter how long you take to answer it) and he usually sends us batteries or keys from out of range places plus he seems to have a lot of knowledge about technology as well as how the systems function around Playcare. It might also explain why he talks in very odd way saying words like “ouchie or lost body parts” cause he was just simply programmed that way and is restricted from saying certain words. Plus him being the security system might explain why he lose access to him in area’s such as the school or playhouse cause he probably just doesn’t have any range or access in those areas which might also explain why he doesn’t know about Dogday. But overall I still don’t trust him and I’m wondering what his going to do next in future chapters.

Poppy playtime got scarier for every chapter that came out. Miss Delight part is just a big nope. Nope for weeping angel enemies. And catnap not really being fully revealed until his boss fight and us just seeing small glimpse of him spying on us. Just perfect horror game making. If I would choose one of the toys to save it would probably be dogday. He didn't deserve his fate.

I love this video so much. Oh my gosh PLEASE do more videos like this. I love when people talk about horror games. On the topic of Ollie yeah he’s evil. That last phone message at the end of the game is supper condescending and doesn’t sound truly happy at all. No normal kid or even morally grey kid sounding voice would talk like that if they are rooting for you to win. Why keep the player alive? There are two theories (ahhhh Matpat 😭) One is the player is one of the characters who has been in all three of the chapters that being Rich or Elliot Ludwig. Rich has been known to hate that the children of the orphanage don’t really get to be real children going outside. He has a strong moral compass and judge of character, however in chapter three we have seen that he started to rise the ranks in the tape in the dark cave by his friend who was retiring. He could have started to figure out due to his new position in the company if he took his friend’s offer that everything isn’t what it seems and wasn’t happy at all with what has been happening but maybe didn’t have exactly a high enough level in the company to do anything, and how could he have? So on the day the toys fought back he wasn’t there, but he was supposed to since the toys wanted revenge. He did work there like Mommy long legs states and I think she would say something if it was Elliot Ludwig himself as he is too recognizable. The other thought is Poppy is in on everything with Ollie aka could be Rich and could be Elliot. Poppy could very well be angry and working the strings of the whole thing and there for working with the Prototype. It could be Rich due to being angry a lot smashing a lot of stuff in the tapes and having a temper to which his wife wanted him to work on. Due to his temper he wouldn’t stay quiet for long about what truly goes on, and so PlayTime co made him into the prototype, but unlike the children who are used as toys adults are smarter and so he planned to fight back and with the help of poppy that will become true. With Elliot though he has been known to use the poppy flowers a lot and also has a lot of knowledge on his own company. Maybe he got tired of how things were. Maybe he feels remorse. Maybe he wanted to come clean but the company didn’t let him so he became the prototype to hush him up. He grew angry and came up with the plan the same way Rich did. It’s either Rich is the protagonist and wants to make amends for the sins of his old co workers and bosses. Rich is the prototype and working with poppy with any means necessary to make everything that has came to be stop due to his temper and moral compass. Elliot Ludwig is the prototype due to hating what his company has become and is working with poppy. Elliot Ludwig is the protagonist wanting to make amends but this isn’t a great theory as any of the characters would have recognized him greatly. Ollie is most likely connected with the prototype whether they are a bigger body experiment or just another one of the prototype’s voices they can copy. Poppy is a Villian and has been on the Prototype’s side this entire time faking that they like the protagonist because we still know that they worked there and knew about what was going on and weren’t here on the day they were supposed to die like everyone else. Poppy wants to do whatever it takes to avenge for what she has become and due to her intelligence I believe she is also an adult turned toy because who’s to say only children were used in the bigger body experiment because they weren’t, due to a secret experiment done on a dying man who was put into a dinosaur toy to be alive forever. But that’s just a theory 😅 I honestly won’t be disappointed if Ollie is evil. Kinda makes sense he would be, but I am dying to know the true thoughts of Poppy and if Elliot is the Prototype or if Rich is the protagonist or prototype. Though it would be a twist that poppy is really evil and I think it would make a lot of people go “I KNEW IT” or “NOOO WHY DIDN’T I SEE THIS COMING!” But I love this game a lot. Can’t wait till chapter four! ❤ Great video

My head conon about why prototype don't kill other toys or player is because he know they are dangerus but he don't have heart to kill kids so lets player to kill them. Evidance: After hour of joy ( wich led by prototype ) toys stayed in factory and we prototype cared for kids at factory.

I don’t usually watch horror, but mascot horror games fascinate me. It’s nice to be able to watch them through the safety of Let’s Plays, and I’m mostly there for the mysteries and story anyways. I’m curious to see how Ollie will play a part in future chapters.

I always imagined ollie as one of those creepy goosebumps style puppets (but with a more child friendly aesthetic like a rainbow shirt and overalls to fit the rest of the toys) and the reason his voice sounds how it does is because he was modified to sound like someone doing an impression of a child. I definitely agree that him being the prototype feels too obvious to not be a red haring but i do believe the creators said that the game could have upwards of 10 chapters so it's probably a bit too early to draw any conclusion now.

But not really, because you kindly always take the time to explain the context and basic lore it takes to understand the topic you're covering for those of us who are unfamiliar, which I always FULLY appreciate and is one of the reasons why I always know I can watch your vids that are about IPs unknown to me with no problem. 😉 Yeah, I can see why fans of this franchise would feel suspicious of this new character, and given how obvious the twist to make him turn out to be the main bad guy all along is, I too hope they don't go for that. Who knows, maybe there's another group or faction that the protagonist is unfamiliar with so far, and they have their own agenda that will be revealed later on? There's certainly potential for something really interesting to come out of this, so hopefully the story will deliver on said potential as it unfolds. P.S: Last year I saw the plush of one of the horrific monsters shown here at a thrift store and I was like "WTH that's so creepy, where is that from??" and now, a year later, I finally have my answer. I had a thought recently that the prototype is separate from Elliot who becomes = Ollie. If I look at it that way, it feels like it could potentially make more sense. The prototype was the creation to prove it could work. Transferring someone’s mind/ soul into a new body. Then Elliot learning from this, eventually learns the way to transfer himself into a new body. Becoming a young boy Ollie. It could be I’m wrong I accept that. But I can’t help but feel it’s a strong possibility. Ollie’s name when you rearrange the letters matches Elliot’s name except with the T. Also I notice he says in one line in the game: “Where the kids used to live.” Which, if he was a “kid” realistically I think he would say something more like: “where me and the kids used to play” or “where me and the others used to play. So those are my thoughts. Hope you like them! 🙂

I bet the Ollie/prototype has been influenced by people likening him to Gregory. It's probably having some impact on how people are viewing him, whether people realise it is or not, purely because they are subconsciously noticing the story similarities

Hm, fair points and opinions, personally I am not really 100% on the Prototype Ollie Theory, if anything i just think of it was a interesting potential Twist, but that’s it, a possibility, i prefer not to make any hasty assumptions before a reveal, I do have a Theory of my own however, What If Ollie simply is the Phones or whatever those Phones are connected to?

Poppy Playtime isn't something I expected from you. Chapter 3 was a massive improvement over Chapter 1 and 2. I just hope the rest of the game continues the new quality.

📞I'm not a fan of horror. However, for some reason, mascot horror games such as Poppy Playtime and Five Nights at Freddy's hold my attention (probably because they aren't as scary to me as more traditional horror is). Up until now, I thought that it was more likely than not that Ollie was the Prototype because of how much sense it made. However, you bring up a good point about how there seems to be contradicting evidence that puts who he is and whether he's good or bad into question. If Ollie does turn out to be the Prototype like everyone thinks, I could completely understand how it could be disappointing. After all, it does seem to be almost too obvious. However, I don't think it would necessarily be disappointing so long as the developers handled it well. I don't think we have any idea where the story is going. If what Poppy said was true, that Catnap was the last toy in our way before getting to the Prototype, and if the Prototype is the big bad, like we have been led to believe so far, how are the developers going to keep coming out with new chapters, like they are apparently planning to do? I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

I think he probably is the prototype, but also that who ollie is doesn't really matter either. I think the prototype's goals are different than what the kids thinks it is, but also different than what the adults think it is. I think there is a huge secret they are keeping from us that they are hiding. I can't really tell what the secret is yet, but I think that secret is more important than the mystery of who Ollie is. So it wouldn't surprise me if Ollie just is the prototype, but that reveal leads to another huge revelation that changes the entire story to that point. I don't think the prototype is the badguy in the story. I think poppy is.

Personally I don't play the games but I enjoy watching them. I promise Aloubell that I'm usually willing to check out whatever you suggest at least once.
