It's a great ship, you just get punished harder for mistakes. But you bounce anything and your sides shatter a lot of HE, plus accurate guns. At worst just kite and pray your stern won't catch anything and delete you lmao

@@TheShinySearcher "Bounce anything" is a huge stretch. It's cruiser armor... 27mm bow/stern armor gets overmatched by most bb guns and the citadel isn't well protected at all. That's why it's an unpopular ship played mostly by people who don't understand armor and overmatch mechanics.

@@LaunchpadGP have you actually played her? If you're bow tanking you're in a horribly bad position and are going to die anyways. She's not a Russian ship; that's one of those 'mistakes' you get punished hard for, which I mentioned. Yes, the citadel is poorly protected, but its also underwater, you're more likely to get chunked by pen damage from the thin belt and big hull than citadeled. The stern is the only part that is truly weak, because theres a nice big flat plate that eats shots from any angle, plus the overmatch. That isn't as big a problem with the nose because the massive 51mm sides; people are baited into going for the citadel. Just turn out and bounce. From experience it works very well.

@@TheShinySearcher yes I have it and it's fun to take out every now and then. But I think most players would agree the criteria for "bounces anything" is a fair bit higher than "bounces shells when perfectly angled, the enemy is a potato who doesn't know your armor scheme, and RNG doesn't send shells into your shell catcher." In randoms it is especially rough when bottom tier relative to its other tier 8 peers.

I used Fenyang a lot. It's a workable ship. Not as strong as Akizuki buy the guns are miles better than most DD and iirc she got DFAA too

HE and maybe a reload booster or burst fire, or just a faster base reload. Giving it improved velocity and dispersion maybe too because its two tiers lower than Minotaur but has less than half the firepower lol (actually way less than half since it doesn't get torps either)

Afraid not. She's decent in ranked due to her utility, but pretty bad otherwise. 9km radar is not enough when it doesn't have DPM, has floaty shells and doesn't have hydro. Most Tiger games you are left with a choice. Try to contribute and explode quickly or sit back and do barely anything all game. It needs several buffs to be properly viable: HE, better ballistics, long radar range, hydro, faster fire rate, Dutch airstrikes, remove the citadel, etc. It doesn't need all of those, but they're ideas on how WG could make the ship work.

We can spare PQ from that one, it’s still crap with this new patch.

Secondary Agir is basically useless and a waste of your teams time. At 8km secondary range, Napoli's dispersion 198m, Cherbourg-Brest-Marseille's is 294m and Seigfried and Agir get standard cruiser dispersion of 486m. Long story short, Napoli's secondaries are about 60% more accurate that Agir.

pretty sure it was a streamsnipping case there however. The shokaku was lighted and in range. Makes no sense to blindfire smoke a tiger59, especially knowing it has no torps. Seems fishy af.

It's an ITA DD and it has full speed exhaust smoke, torps are buffed from 6 to 7 km about 4 months ago. Her Alpha damage is quite high against broadside targets especially. I mostly go with the other DD to help him with the enemy DD and later on try to use the crawling smoke to finish 60% or less HP BBs (or cruisers). Not enough torps to sink a full HP BB. She's fun to play imo and has OK stats (unless against T9), she's not for beginning DD players though.

Yes it’s a nicer Anchorage without the torps but easier to play imho.

@@AnujeetRoy09 it's not really Balti hull. Both Rochester and Tulsa on T9 are Oregon City class. It's like comparing Chapayev to Kutuzov. It's improved Baltimore, with better fire angles. Also Rochester has way better AA, comparable to Des Moines.

Its weird how weegee balance can work. Duca on legends is a menace with the sap shells. Dds and cruisers are just food to it

@@stotgunvsface5092 it has AP and HE on PC. From my experience AP can slap other cruisers really hard but HE is kinda bad against BBs cause of meh penetration and bad fire chance but IDK maybe I'm using the ship wrong

YESSSS!!!!!!! One vid is not enough. We need another 58 at the very least.

Mostly true but slightly outdated. 1) The strongest destroyers are the gunboats not the torpedo boats, especially with so much hydro nowadays. Even some cruiser lines are out-torping the DDs. Still strong against BBs though, especially if you can open-water gunboat and dodge well. 2) Carriers in general do farm BBs. But the amount of HP% they can take from cruisers and destroyers can be devastating. Also carriers accidentally spotting destroyers as they fly over to strike the battleships is just ridiculous sometimes. You can single handedly ruin a destroyer's game just by spotting it and not even striking it. 3) Cruisers are varied. There is a lot of overmatch on battleships that also outspot cruisers nowadays. Sub homing on cruisers is tight, ASW is poor, and you also get periscope spotted and can't spot them back even with radar. Most cruisers that need to get close are rough. But if you are just HE farming from the edge of the map then that's irrelevant. 4) Battleship RNG is sad a lot of times. But if you hit, you do smash your target (at least at TX with all the overmatch). These days, battleships definitely lean towards dealing damage over tanking, as you basically get farmed so quickly nowadays.
