So, to sum up Bills story, in the Manga, he was trying to make a teleportation machine, but a rattata (the Pokémon he turned into in the manga) ran into the machine as he was testing it, turning him into a rattata.

He probably couldn't catch them anyway. Those legends are tough to catch and he doesn't have loads of pokeballs to use on just one pokemon. He could also waste time aswell as he might have not reached a checkpoint then he would lose the legend to a random shiny

Impossible mode: Do this, but in HG/SS. And I mean literally impossible, there's a set shiny encounter you have to get through to progress.

The shinies in this universe have caught the plague and it's spreading, making more and more pokemon shiny in the process. No-one's ever seen a shiny human, and that's why they run, so they wouldn't have to find out. That's also why the 'hospital' in these games is their 'check-point' Lol random silly lore for this challenge~

Fun fact the reason why the legendary Pokémon didn’t move was because when you find the in the cave that you find said legendary they don’t move cuz of their code when they are in the wild they aren’t suppose to move in til you beat the league on route 22

14:36 Something similar happened to me in ultra sun and moon. Funnily enough, it was my Espeon that did that (because it evolves from Eevee) and she managed to take down ultra necrozma even though I sadly sent her to faint so I could heal my primarina and send her out instead. But after seeing her survive on one hp and do a good amount with shadow ball, I left her in. The same thing happened again and she won against ultra necrozma. (But primarina helped before she fainted) I dunno if it was because she truly cared for me or she knew what I was planning and thought, no way am I going down like that, I'll prove myself.

I would absolutely make it to the end first time as I have been playing pokemon games nearly daily since red and blue came out and all the follow up games and have yet to find one shiny' it's like I have the ultimate bad luck in that situation but it would come in quite handy for a challenge like this.
