Technically, Josh has contributed to raise the appreciation on some pedals that otherwise would be flying under the radar, and in the process, the price goes up. Not that it's a bad thing at all, but it's funny how it has been.

.....yeah if you don't count the ghost writer assist from the then murderered Kurt Cobain, Dave stole most if not all of those songs/lyrics from Kurt's song books/journals & then took credit for them. Why do you think in their aprox 25 year career almost all of their biggest hits came off of their 1st album? Where nearly every track was a hit single, yet almost none of their later albums have any hits/ good tracks? By the 2nd album he was probably running low on Kurt's songs, and he'd already used most the best ones on the 1st. He probably could've had enough content to fake an entire career if it wasn't for Courtney also taking a large chunk of his journals & releasing them herself under Hole as well.

Tony Fletcher There are so many companies and small builders out there making both vintage and newer, crazier shit. I mean it took MXR, how many years to decide to put a buffer in one of their Fuzz Faces, so it won’t fuck up the wah wah, and more highs in the Germanium mode. I hope it starts a trend. All these $200 or more fuzz faces, and none have buffers. I used a Boss pedal for years with my Arbiter style BC108 FF.

Yeah except in a year or 2 all the best pedals would be selling for $5--$100k, while even mid tier pedals that you could now get for $75--$200 would be going for thousands of $$$. It does make me wonder though, with each new year 1000's of new pedals being released, far far more than ever before, & w/ the number of new releases seeming to be endlessly increasing, why have used pedal prices stayed so high or arguably even as a whole gone significantly up in price? I mean new prices on most pedals are insane, 300-500$ for yet another mehhhh klone or tube screamer sounding "transparent" OD for instance (what was the $ on Chase Bliss's new Rever & Preamp pedals? I think with tax they aren't to far from a grand each new!!!) And most used pedals seem to sell for 85%-98% of their new price!!! Many newer high demand pedals are selling used for 125%--250% of their new prices!!! I'm pretty sure their is a Pedal/ Gear-Bubble that's gonna bust soon.

@BTsMusicChannel
@BTsMusicChannel 4 жыл бұрын
You figured it out, there is actually a small hive in the circuitry, and when you click it on it sends 9V through it, which activates the bees. Your guitar signal is then fused with the angry bees to create the sound. The control knobs act as a mixer for the two signals (bees and guitar). It's very simple, but it works.

my favorite band(s) by one guy who does it all, is a Baltimore based band (when touring - one guy in his home studio), @trunkweed, who are self-proclaimed as "transcendental death pop ethereal fuzz slacker dream rock" or something like that. This dude has a CRAZY story about how he got into the diy music industry, and recording, and he does it all: every bit of songwriting, every instrument, all of the sound engineering and recording, mixing, mastering, you name it! They had a pretty significant run for a while, touring all around the US, Canada, and Mexico non-stop for like 4 years, released some vinyl, released some stuff in Japan, and are really interesting all around. The dude's a TOTAL gear-nerd. He's constantly buying, selling, trading, returning, every single possible mic, guitar, preamp, pedal, cymbal, tape deck, keyboard, you name it. He's got a problem. A madman for sure. But the sad part is that he's struggled with some serious mental health and addiction issues for his entire life and hasn't released new music in a couple years now because he's just locked up in his basement making new songs every day. Last time I talked to him he sent me a dropbox folder of all of his finished songs just from that 6 month period and he had literally over 100 completed, INCREDIBLE songs that the world needs to hear! He told me his entire catalogue on his computer (at that time) was around 450 completed songs that he just doesn't know what to do with anymore. I've been trying to help guide him a bit to make the proper steps to get back into it again, but it's tough. All he's ever needed was an agent, or a manager, or someone to do the administrative sort of stuff to help him condense his catalogue and get it released through the proper channels and I, and soooooo sooo many others of his strong following, all think that he could be doing some really huge things in the "industry" if he just knew how to get to that next step of things for a band/songwriter/engineer. You should help him out Andy! IDK what all you know, but at the very least, I know he recently began studying audio electronics and has started making his own pedals, so maybe yall could chat about that! haha. you probably won't even read/see this, but hey, if I can help a body who I, and so many others, feel deserve all the help he can get, then why not post this? eh? Much love brother, love your channel so much!

Check out Hissing Fauna Are You Destroyer. He recorded and produced the album himself and it sounds incredible. Another solo artist that comes to mind is Grimes. She recorded and produced the album Art Angels by herself (with a few guests) but basically plays every instrument herself on the album and even learned how to play guitar for the album, very creative and over the top pop music with a few songs that rock out

Great episode...when I saw the intro the first thing that popped into my head was Seymour Duncan, a company that makes some great pedals but nobody seems to give a chance because they're not cool and booteek enough. The Shapeshifter is a fantastic trem that beats out much more expensive examples in my book, and in stereo! The only thing it doesn't offer is a harmonic option, but it's got a variable control between 3 wave shapes...and you got yourself the version with The Thing artwork, drool! I'm guessing they got in trouble for stealing that and had to stop...

I’m going to politely disagree, any time I see this song praised, it’s for the bass/groove (which we agree on) so maybe it’s just overrated by people whose first exposure was that song? @@TheChadPad It's a (J Mascis Jazzmaster or his innerspeaker roadhouse strat) guitar with a gk-3 pickup into a Roland Gr-55. The guitar doesn't matter because it works as a trigger. I’d love to see a reverb pedal modeled after the Cowboy Junkies’ Trinity Sessions.

What did they use? That church might have had a little to do with that albums sound too..?

regarding Tame Impala...I was slow to join the party....but it was the super warm synth's that brought me into the family. Such more good sounds. Of all the live shows I saw last year, Tame's was the most impressive. His use of lighting takes his music to an entirely different level. Any my lord does his love that big, fat, swooshy flange that you can get in the studio. Wweeeoosssshhh.

I like Tame Impala when I hear the on the radio, but I can never find them in my record shop. Probably sell out too quick. Favorite band of one person is Washed Out. Life of Leisure is a fabulous EP, but even Mister Mellow is really good after a few spins.

That visible overdrive is amazing the other guitarist in my band uses it along with an SL drive into a H&K tubemeister screaming punk tone for days

I have the Kaleidoskop Reverb Pedal, bought about 2 years ago. It’s a fantastic reverb, where you can do from small reverb to weird fun settings. And it looks dope. It’s German small company called JPTR, Jupiter spoken.
