I ran corn for 6 hours this afternoon and got almost 12 acres of end rows off. Meanwhile y'all blow out 230 acres in a day. Amazing. The ole JD 9500 is slow but she's paid for and it's still fun. Thanks for sharing, love the content.

Dougo shoulda known to take the batteries out of the Sensaphone 400 for seasonal storage, per the Sensaphone 400 user manual, Page 29 , section 2.13 2 .13 DISCONNECTING THE MODEL 400 FOR STORAGE OR SEASONAL USE. If you plan to employ the Model 400 as a seasonal “watchdog” for a few months during the year, you must disconnect all wires from the unit com- pletely to avoid damage to the circuitry when the unit is not in use. If the unit is unplugged but left in place with all the sensors still connected, the wires act as antennae that draw in any stray “electrical noise” from such devices as fans, blowers, microwaves, etc. Additionally, it is important to remove the batteries, or they will discharge until they fail. Preserve your Model 400 during the off-season, or when not in use: • Remove the sensor wires at the screw terminals • Remove the batteries • Unplug the unit and store in a safe place

@@dominoefxxx Thanks for looking that up - you save Dougo the time to look it up (which he wouldn't) and now he knows. I didn't know to take off the sensor wires, but any stray charge could damage a circuit board.

Some of the newer batteries don’t corrode the metal and you can just wash off the contacts and put new batteries in. Otherwise just get a battery holder from eBay with the same number of cells and solder it in. Won’t fit inside, but that doesn’t matter.

He has lots of john deere stuff and we don't have a farm. Hoping to get chickens but I'm due to give birth to a girl in February lol. Thank you for giving me something to entertain him with!

Chuckling. When i was a young damsel while dad and my brother took the grain from the full section block, with the two odd quaters added wierdly at diagonal corners to it. I was left to run a One Woman show 12 miles away taken off the half section with 3 small pieces semi attached around it. They had the two trucks and two combines and a guy bailing behind them. I had my babier pull type a bailer and a old dodge tandem grain truck. Doing a one woman job say proving it took five men to do what i was doing alone. Only down side i had not finishing when they were done or shortly behind them was my 12 mile drive to the bins, or my trying to keep the bailing kept up to my combining. Only advantage i had over them was we generally hauled loads straight to the ellevator and one of the quarters was across the fence from the ellevators and we had a trail made so i had driect access right into the ellevator yard. But enough of that i love to wach your videos to see just how far farming has advanced. You farmers are quite spoiled how every thing is so monitored for you and the dryer and bin systems do so much for you. And best you do not need to fight getting some old Hand Crank tractor running to turn the Augers. Only ellectrics we had at the bin sight was the batteries in the Flash lights lol. And only computer thing woulda been none. Lol best none of us got hurt other than my broke wrist from starting that dam hand crank tractor and my brother breaking his ankle gettin outta the combine in a hurry and screwed up. So Chet, Doug and every one at larson farms please keep the videos coming i so love to wach them. And please be safe. Hugs from ya little canadian farm girl fan
