Fantastic reaction! You really surprised me when you said you thought the singer was sexy - I almost fell off my chair. I never thought this was the kind of look women were after. Who knew? Obviously men forgot soon after the 80s otherwise they'd be doing it now! Thanks for the insight and the fun reaction.

Excellent reaction. I truly enjoyed your reaction and description of what you liked. This singer is name is Pete Burns. He was gay and he was so sexy to us girls. I even heard men react to how fascinating this guy was to look at. His music and personality made such a huge impression in the 80's. Sadly he died a few years ago and changed the way he looked drastically to the point where no one recognized him, but this song was such a huge hit in the 80's and 90's that it still is used in some nightclubs and getting lots of radio play.

Then you wouldn't of liked the 40s and 50s. At least in the US. It wasn't too unusual for 2 or 3 artists to have a top 40 hit with the same song at the same time or one charting up as the other artist is coming down. Copyrights were a lot looser then.

It's not theft, if you have to read the basics on copyright laws and how they come into play to provide protection. For songs and musical recording it's 70 years from publication. Since the song by Dead or Alive was published 5 November 1984, the copyright runs out on the 5th of November, 2054. So unless Flo Rida didn't have permission to use the sample when he created his song it's not theft
