Dragon's Crown is another game in this genre that deserves a lot more recognition and respect

Idk if it just me but this game seems interesting to look at or play. Also these sprites look pretty smooth and clean, kinda remind me the sprites of SNK fighting games like Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and The King of Fighters to say the least.

This game is brutal at first. It actually is one of those “git gud” games. It’s got some frustrating design, but through practice, you get better at it. It’s way too short though, could’ve used at least 2 more stages. Also wish there was some online component like leaderboards. There’s a community growing for this game, and its high difficulty fosters competition. On a side note, you really should check out mayhem brawler, it’s gotten so much better since release.

had the pleasure to get answers from the dev, seems they got surprised themselves with the release date, real shame, if this dropped anytime else other than with TMNT, then it would be so much more fun for many people. i have to admit, the artwork is superb, sure beats the shockwave flash animation level of SOR 4, and such huge characters. Love me some nitty gritty graphics, it sure reminds me a lot of MUTATION NATION for some weird reason. anw, wish listed and will pick it up when humanly possible, wish the devs all the good luck with it.

I wasn't expecting Top-Hat lore, but now it makes sense: After Gaming boy little brother nikes was heisted with ease, he promised to clean up his neighborhood. Years of schooling lead him to teaching in hopes of giving the youth manners and customs, but those dreamy days were short lived, when he was expelled from the education system, due to false accusations from the scoundrels of the "Top-Hat Hoodlums"-- the biggest gang in both London and Manchister combined. Being reminded of the injustices of the country, he re devote his self toward his wrestling training. Once he joined the circuit and used a portion of his prize money to feed the homeless, and up keep to Catholic orphanages, Gaming-Man meet the love of his life and was quickly married, but before the two could even say their vows-- The "Top-Hat Hoodlums" crashed the wedding and stole his wife. Enraged Gaming-Man gave pursuit and rampaged threw Greater Manchester area; eliminating a major drug ring of opium, then he shutdown the sex-traffic operations in the Northern Quadrate. Once Gaming-Man crushed an Islamic Cell, he found a lead to his beloved and it took him back to London. Finally arriving back to the dirty streets of Hampton, Gaming-Man's vim arose; he was tire of this city, tired of this crime, tired of the stupidity-- he believed in his heart; it was time to give everyone an education, education, education. Gaming-Man paved through Wembley Stadium, Gladstone Park, The SSE Arena, Wembley (what reminds), Roundwood Park, and Brent Museum. Gaming-Man laid the law most violently in Queens Market, Green Street, Stratford Centre, Stratford Circus Arts Centre, Gallions Reach Shopping Park and Theatre Royal Stratford East. Then his journey came to the end at Newham. Gaming-Man faced off against the leader of the Tri-area heroine and opium trade-- "Sir Top-Hat". The match was a squash. "Sir Top-Hat" could only job to the Gaming-Man-- his fury was no longer human; just shy of being mythic. Gaming-Man asked "Sir Top-Hat" "why, what did I do to warrant all this bloodshed?" "Sir Top-Hat" looked up at Gaming Man and whispered "The Union needed you gone, so that we can push the people to merge-- so that they can create our utopia. But you kept getting in the way, with all your teaching and morals. You was reaching the youth-- having them act like people; giving them hope and shit. It doesn't matter in the end. Even if I lose, I'll get out in a hour tops-- remember the cops aren't prosecuting "petty" crimes anymore". "Sir Top-Hat" laugh in a low groan [slow and paced]. Gaming-Man filled with purpose grabbed "Sir Top-Hat" and Jackknifed him off the side of a 4 story building. As the top hat lay at his feet, Gaming-Man picked it up. His wife puzzled. She asked "what is it you going to do with that thing?" Gaming-Man turned and forced the top-hat on in triumph and replied "Honey, I will wear this in public to show the people that the "Top-Hat Hoodlums" are no more. The symbol that was used to ironically shame my fellow countrymen, will once again be our pride-- pride that exclaims we Brits can recover from any terror, and we Brits will defeat any menace. YEAHHHHHHH". And you know the rest. Top-Hat Gaming-Man was born. He tries to infiltrate the E.U. through the professional wrestling circuit and weed out ner-do-wells to teach them an education, education, education. YEEEAAAAHHHHH.

The game is ridiculously short in comparison to most beat em ups of today (and past games) so the no continues seems somewhat a realistic choice. The developers wanted you to get your ass kicked first and then take time to learn the strategies and find the hidden 1ups

We need more solid beat'em ups Top Hat because I haven't touch a modern AAA game in five months since Shredder's Revenge came out so I will give Final Vendetta a shot when I get more funds lol. Thanks for the video Top Hat.

I didn’t grow up the series, but I would like to see a Golden Axe 4 game with all the positive features that Golden Axe 3 brought and more. I like the barbarian & magic motif.

I admire the art style... and I'm not averse to difficult brawlers...but if it weren't for TMNT releasing, and the fact this game offers ZERO options to continue a game (at least limit the number of them) and outside of the art, it really doesn't look to add any twists to the formula... maybe I'll pick it up when it goes on sale down the line.

This is a cool looking game. I don't like the idea of infinite continues, but continues based on difficulty like the old 16-bit console beat 'em ups is fine by me. Locking training mode behind beating the game sounds arse backwards!

Looks fun! I'm not fond of super hard difficulty though. I prefer a game at least have an easier mode available for more casual gamers. I love beat em ups, but starting over from the very beginning would just irritate and stress me out, when I often turn to games to decrease stress.

Actually, I don't see releasing a day after Shredder's Revenge as being so bad. If anything TMNT could raise the profile of the genre as a whole. People buying TMNT might still want more...and here it is. While it may seem impossible, there are also people who don't care for the TMNT brand, so here is a game they can play. I bought TMNT, and I may buy this one as well. Beat'em ups were so dead for so long that I am happy to buy two of them days apart if they are good!

I'm so torn on this one! I love XenoCrisis, so I want to support these devs, but this game developed in a really tough environment what with the new TMNT game and its generic looks. I'll probably grab it on Steam anyway, but I can't say it's at the top of my wishlist right now but probably would have been if it had launched a few months ago.

I'm pretty sold on the fact that it's a beat-em-up with a London setting, which I've been after for some time. This looks great! Now, is it on a platform I have available to play it on, is the question...

This is a great year for beat em ups. First TMNT Shredders Revenge came out last week and after that Final Vendetta came along. Both of them looks so good and I can’t wait to bust some heads with these games.

Casual modes are fine. These are OPTIONAL folks. Sometimes it is not about getting good. Please consider that some people might have disabilities. And some people might just want to be invincible for whatever reason. Old games were often tough but many also had cheat codes, too. Plus there were also cheat devices like Action Replay or whatever it was called. Cheating was an entire industry!

1. No continues or saves. 2. No medium or normal difficulty 3. Training mode needs to be unlocked? 4. $25 way too pricey.

I'm definitely picking this up on the switch. I love the new TMNT but the challenge isn't there. I beat it on the hardest mode and it's not like it's super easy but it's obvious they aren't aiming to take your quarters anymore. They make you super busted in that game, especially 6 players. So you can really go all out and do 200+ combos. Part of the joy of these games was getting beat up and over until you finally do the beating up. I started playing Streets of Rage 2 when I was 4 or 5, I didn't beat that game until I was like 10. Me and my bros played it all the time, the elevator was usually the death of us. But I survived and finally beat it. Then I started trying to beat it on hard mode. Now my Skate is godlike. Even after all these years when I played SoR4, still got it.

I played this, it's good, but looks like an imitation of classic games I know. I rather tell people to play those first before this game. Also way too short and I'm pretty sure streets of rage artist could sue for copyright infringement.

If the easy mode has to exist I want it to say You Casual instead of Casual lol!!

The playable characters' walk cycle looks a bit awkward but otherwise this game looks and animates well.

If I didn't know, I would tell this game came BEFORE Vedetta 2. It doesn't have the vibe from a "new retro" game, its just looks a forgotten game from the past and relaunch today.

This game would've been 10 times easier if I could simply remap buttons, and not have 10 different actions mapped to 1 button. Getting hit because your character decided to pick up weapon, when you intended to jab an enemy is so dumb.

With the title being Final Vendetta, I thought this game was to be the sequel to Vendetta: Crime Fighters 2.

I havent made it past stage 3 yet.

A game that really needs infinite continues, is Comix Zone.

I don't see the reason to be crying about a casual mode. The arcades had options for difficulty settings and increase lives stock (Final Fight had 8 difficulty settings & 1 to 4 lives could be set), but were set to high difficulty to take your money. Allow people to set difficulty & enjoy the game at their own pace. I'm sure they'll keep the money stealing difficulty at the highest setting along with a casual mode.

Game is rumoured (British spelling) to be difficult I pre-ordered it before it sold out.

I love scrolling beat em ups but this ain't the one. Characters look clunky/robotic, enemies look OP, the game mechanics look awful IMO massively unbalanced. Think it needed more time in the oven.

Luiza and Luana And Effin Osric are the most frustratingly annoying Bosses to Run in , I wouldn't mind a 20-50 Lives Option , I Finished my Run with Duke don't want to go in a 2nd time with claire and miller unless they Do so .

They look great but like they all use the same engine and they all end up looking the same.

Theres nothing wrong with difficulty, but there is a difference between fun difficulty and frustrating difficulty. The only way to have a chance is to keep spamming the same move over and over. That's not fun at all. They don't have to add infinite continues, but at least a point or achievement system that allows you to get more lives. I purchased this game when it came out and already I've replayed that first level so many times that I'm sick of it.

I'm a casual but knowing that this is a Neo-Geo game, infinite continues would just be terrible, just stick with the good old Neo-Geo 4 continues and we're golden.

First time I saw this game the animation of the player character ´wrestler guy´, seemed off (the only player character I saw at that point) and made it look janky. Watching this all of the other player characters look absolutely fine and if I just ignore him its all good. It´s like his hitbox is all wrong, like he´s not connecting with the punches/kicks and walks funny. Is it just me?

I COMPLETELY AGREE with you regarding the continues. I can guarantee you that people will start moaning even more that the game is “too short” if they add a mode with infinite continues. It will remove the very satisfying core of the game which is to learn the mechanics, practice, improve and get a bit further each time. As a compromise they could go the MVS route and limit the continues to 3 or something. I’ve been playing this for days and I love it. It’s a proper kick in the pants but so satisfying when beat the next boss, and chain an entire stage! There’s an even harder difficulty once you beat it too.
