Path of Exile's lore is absolutely wicked, but too few people enjoy or know it thanks to its presentation. To discover lore, especially in the early game and leagues, you need to seek it out. However, I'm trying to bring this RAD PoE lore to as many people as possible just before PoE 3.25: Settlers of Kalguur in a concise, entertaining, and informative manner.

I've watched all of KittenCatNoodle's lore videos, and read much of the stuff in game as well. It'll never be what I come to the game for, but it's cooler than I first gave it credit for. I especially like that the lore isn't a requirement to interact with it's just there if you want to look for it

I basically +1 this entire sentiment. Much as it isn’t a focus of interest for my time in PoE it’s an insanely cool backdrop and surprisingly well laid out structure that doesn’t get in the way at all, but is totally available to enjoy. Kittens vids are dope. When I first got addicted to PoE in Ancestors I binged to contentment.

I'm really becoming a fan. Once again, this is something similar to what I thought of doing, but never haver got to it. Yet you do it... as well as 5 or 10 other creative and fun poe related videos every week. Mad respect for your work and creativity. On another note "they believe the power we think lies inside them [virtue gems] lies inside the individual". You know what else lies inside the individual in poe 2? Virtue gems. Maybe another form of foreshadowing?

Wow. What a completely compelling argument. The dock in the video is definitely the Kingsmarch one and yet there is no city. I am now 100% convinced that this will be what we are doing in this expansion. I also think that 3.25 may become 4.0 when officially announced.

tbh most lore is so far, so we don't see interaction, like expedition + heist guys in the next league. Mostly it's just scraps of information, that isn't linked to each other. Unlike in something like Elden ring, where it is actually a story.

Very nice. Everything related to this league is really interesting. Also, in the teaser, it looks like they used the same exact model that was present in the PoE 2 Act 4 gameplay. At least the landing pad (or however that is called) and the main deck seem to be the exact same.

A lot of lore/story problems can be simplified into the past/present/future. Past stuff is all lore and that whole backstory is where a lot of writers get hung up because that's kind of the fun, isn't it? Finding all the cool stuff in a setting. From there you go to the future, where things are heading and what your story and where your characters are headed. But what happens in the here and now? What kind of story is that? Who is it actually about, and from whose perspective would this entire story be the most engaging and entertaining?

i've always liked lore of PoE but never have delved too deep into it due to a nature of a game (althrough i try to read/listen, at least in a beginning of a league, what new characters have to say) it would be cool to see some short videos about lore, like small interesting facts

fun fact, there were a lot of Poe2 gameplay videos but everyone skipped the dialogues of the npcs. I am looking forward to the beta to either listen it to myself or watch a youtube compilation / or a nobel87 style of video (he does wow lore) to just relax and listen to. I hope someone makes a good lore video for poe2 as soon as there is enough information :D

Ohhhh damn... runes came to POE before D4Bad. LOL! Now that's hilarious. Seriously, there's one major part of the story missed. The current King of Kalguur and why Dannig, Rog, Gewnnen, and especially Tujen do not want to talk about. There's a bit of politics being missed here. You can find out that information when you talk to the Kalguur in game. Tujen, you have to keep asking over and over to get his hilarious dialogue. LOL! The reason why I say it's a major part is because what if Dannig, Rog, Tujen, and Gwennen are trying to fight back against the King whose name shall not be mentioned? What if settling on Wraeclast is their way of building up and fighting against the King?

Being Kingsmarch Builder League is really cool, but I really hope they go crazy with skills gems this league. When they announced transmutation gems, I was thrilled, but now they seem just the regular skill with a little twist that changes almost nothing in the playstyle of the original gem. I hope that this league brings a new type of skill gem like shapeshifting, or spear throwing, idk....maybe a new skill archetype, something new like PoE2 will bring

Lore enthusiast here. I had the same theory about that place being Kinsmarch. One thing to note, cause is not 100% accurate, the Kalguur do actually believe in the power if the virtue gems, they ban the use of gems for them being "unclear". After everything went wrong, that same leader started using gems to fight against the "wraeclast darkness", only because it was his last resource. Sry, I couldn't stop myself, love the lore maybe to much :D

Thousands of years prior? No. Since there was no record of the Vaal. But sometime between the two cataclysms? Highly plausible. Also, kind of funny that Gwen got yeeted--everyone hates Gwen now that she stopped coughing up magebloods =P. Also, as far as "evil" goes, Vorana never really went evil. Corrupted and laid low? Yes. But as far as actively murdering her own people? Nope, that was all Uhtred.

Lol who hates the Poe Lore? youre basing whatever youre saying on people who have been playing through the campaign for 9 plus years over and over. I am one of those people. The lore in fantastic but im a little over playing essentially the same campaign for years on end every season for 3 to 4 characters.

I would care about the lore only before PoE is not a game where the gameplay consists of following a guide and spamming 1 button filling the screen with special effects.
