Fr. John Riccardo is a priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit. He is the Founder and Executive Director of ACTS XXIX, a non-profit apostolate that helps to reclaim the world for Christ by equipping clergy and lay leaders for the new “apostolic” age in which we live. His talk is titled “You Were Born for This.” Fr John has a dynamic message that is clear and simple yet challenging. Before ACTS XXIX, Fr John was a pastor of a parish that saw over 2500 go through their Alpha course.

Thank you, I am currently 63 yrs old & I feel like I am wasting my time, just waiting to die. I want to do more, but I don't know how. I want to help people find God.I need to pray for courage.

I am 64 and ask those questions too. I am walking in a Neocatechumenal way community which helps because we have word and Eucharist celebrations

I don’t know, if I was born for this .. but I know you were… and you were here for me for such a time for this.. I can’t get enough of the preaching food for my soul.. what I already have comes together with your teachings and a bomb exposed in my heart.. Thank you Jesus he’s never late.. ❤️🕊

Thankyou Father for this very truthful and sobering talk... The World is in a bad way and to think children aged 10-14 are suicidal!! I'm shocked.... Our Rosary is our Sword....Keep up the great work Father, much much gratitude. Will be praying for you 🙏🙏🍀

I enjoyed this talk. I am a converted protestant. What does that mean? I am not a cradle protestant. I got converted at age 20 to Jesus. That was 45 years ago. Several years ago I started reading catholic literature. I am converted to Catholicism in my mind and in my thoughts, and in my prayer. But I still am a protestant on Sunday morning. Although sometimes I wonder if I will be asked to leave the church I go to when I speak up in Bible study groups and disagree with any of the cherished, unquestioned doctrines that they accept. Anyway, “I was born for such a time as this.” Thank you Joan of Arc, thank you Father John for sharing. Lots of wholesome food for thought.

I was a protestant too, and I'm so grateful for the grace I received to enter the Catholic faith. I finally feel my search for God has ended and that I "came home".:) I'm happy to read how you're on your own path and growing. Feel comfortable to ask any questions if you'd like.:)
