thank you. I'll never understand why this music appeals to me so much. I'm gen-x fer christ sake! Al Bowlly predeceased my birth by nearly 30 years! 20s music doesn't do it, sounds tinny and corny. 40s music? Naw, sounds mainstream and stereotypical, like old advertising jingles or Andrew sisters on abbot & costello. I'll make an exception for anything by Billie Holiday. 50s doo-wop don't do it for me, although I like 60s music, especially Frankie Valle & 4 seasons.

It`s a great classic song and I like it so much and also to my late mother who like it so much.

This, and other recordings on the album 'New York', has a fascinating history. Sometime in the '90s, Frank Wappat, of BBC Radio, took the original 78 disc back to the Rockafeller Rainbow Room Ballroom and re-recorded it to capture 'once and for all the atmosphere and ambience of such a place of leisure, as opposed to "dead" Sound Studio.' It worked perfectly: the sound is exceptional... you can even hear Al Bowlly breathing!

Life Changed It's Tune is a good name for the first song of Stage 1 in ATGMOATLY, because something is slightly off but everything else is totally coherent and blazing with glory and a slow fire, expanding by the months and the years... Plus, My Universe Crumbled In Two in Stage 2 was a good start, because it's only slowed and reverb is only just starting to expand and it's just slightly different from the original line, on top of the fact the characters can't even remember the title, as seen in The Very Thought Of You.
