I got the electric drain valve kit for my train horn set up. I never have to go under my truck anymore. Just push a button and it drains the moisture.

Compressed air systems will rust fast because the oxygen inside the system is at a much higher pressure and temperature than atmosphere, which means the corrosion reaction will occur faster. Similar effect as tire oxidation. Ideally, you should drain daily, after use, especially if you don't have an air dryer in the system.

I have Airlift suspension. I drain my tank once a week and there's a little bit of white water that comes out each time. I can't imagine not draining it for two years ! I'm buying dual water traps for dual compressors along with an electric drain kit. Drain your tanks at a push of a button on a daily basis.

You should actually drain it every couple months. Rust will develope fast.

@@Faix.Garage it’s a small amount of oil. Those small compressors have blow by around the little piston ring. Nothing to worry about. What is crazy are the maggots. Yuk
