Proud to our hindu ancestors those who made these beautiful classical dance and devoted every classical dance to a particular god or deity..i think the plurastic nature of sanatana dharam is the main reason that we have that much classical dance and folk dance. 1.Kathak- devoted to mainly Krishna. 2.Kathakali- again to Krishna and story of Mahabharata and ramayana. 3.Odishi- devoted to lord Jagannath prabhu 4.Mohininatum- devoted to female form of Vishnu dev ..devi mohini 5.Bharatnatyam- devoted to aadidev bhagwan shiv..some also says that bharatnatyam originated from aadiyogi shiv. 6.Kuchipudi- it's related to Krishna wife Satya bhama and says it 'Bhama kalpam' 7.Manipuri - It's totally devoted to prabhu Krishna and Radha and about their love. 8.Sattriya- mainly Brahmins do this at early-stage but after some time every one is free to do this..and mainly for worship purposes.. I don't know why they portrayed Kathak as a islamic culture For those who are thinking like that Kathak is started in temples and it is mainly worshipping god "Krishna".....

it is not displayed as islamic culture . they have used the famous monuments of uttar pradesh to represent its heritage and you should be proud of that instead of taking in wrong way . bythe way all monuments are indian you should not divide it into islamic and hindu . so no hatred .

Yes.....but till some year before I was also thinking that Kathak is originated by some Muslim rulers 🤦 because whenever Kathak is played they always show mughal architectures.
