I wouldn’t be too surprised if the displayed ratings weren’t actually the sum of all ratings he got, and were instead pre-chosen for the plot’s sake. Assuming I’m wrong about that, though I bet I can guess what Mr. Puzzles would’ve done with lower ratings (been even meaner to SMG4 and crew), I wonder what would’ve happened if he actually did hit 5 stars

I like how in the beginning Mr.Puzzles looks so innocent until you remember that he trapped people in a western simulation, made someone go insane, tried to leak someone’s notebook, and then kidnapped the entire cast. Edit: Ok after that movie I feel bad for him. He was so dedicated to making his shows that he even cut off his head and replaced it with a TV, and he just got obliterated by a meat mallet.

You know, I'm starting to think that Mr. Puzzles, The Phantom of the Bwahpera (Mario+Rabbids) and Madame Grape (Princess Peach Showtime!) are the Showtime type of villains. Since their hobby is putting on shows, but they have their own different goals. Mr. Puzzles: Tormenting the SMG4 Gang to get a 5 star rating. Phantom of the Bwahpera: Use the Space Opera Network to get more spotlight to become unstoppable and kill everyone in the universe to their deaths. Madame Grape: Turn the entire play into a tragedy and turn hope into despair.

Especially when you realize he has been likely influencing the series since as far back as the Anime Arc... I mean, look at the Ink Extractor used by Francis. It looks too much like the Dream Machine used by One-Shot Wren... Also, much like with SMG4 getting the Fairgrounds from Puzzlevision out of nowhere, Francis somehow received an Island Base from out of nowhere, complete with highly explosive reactor. Secondly, note how much Mr Puzzles absolutely _adores_ making others suffer for the sake of "Views" and "Drama"... Now remember how much the characters have had to put up with drama after drama since the Anime Arc... ...Thirdly, in Both Meggy's Destiny and Sunset Paradise, Puzzlevision's logo appeared on posters and on storefronts, with Meggy remarking on having seen it somewhere, but cannot remember where in Sunset Paradise... ...Adding to that, note how much Clench snarks off at Mario and Meggy specifically, yet seems to like Bob... Much like Mr Puzzles. If Clench isn't Mr Puzzles himself trying to influence Tari, Clench is likely a pawn sent by Mr Puzzles to cripple Tari and prevent them from escaping. That means he has been influencing all the horrors and permanent death that happened to the cast in each special.

Mr. Puzzles is the most deranged and terrifying character I’ve ever encountered in any indie animation, and I love him. Brendan Blaber is an amazing voice actor who nails Mr Puzzles’s insanity.

No kidding. For something that started so nonsensical (though obviously still fantastic in its own way), SMG4 turned out to be quite good. I genuinely think Mr. Puzzles is one of my favorite villains now!

Because over the course of 2023 of last year, SMG4 was getting slowly and slowly taken over by Mr. Puzzles himself, and if we look at the thumbnail for the PUZZLEVISION movie, we see 4 screens, and they all replicate a movie that has happened in 2023. It’s Gotta Be Perfect, Western Spaghetti, and WOTFI 2023 were all shambles and lies that were influenced by Mr. Puzzles. And since Mr. Puzzles knows their every move and who they are and what makes them insecure, like SMG4’s Perfect Video, Meggy’s Idol (One Shot Wren), and SMG3’s Secret Notebook, we can look at it and say that Mr. Puzzles is trying to have the entire SMG4 crew do his bidding, making them Puzzles’s Puppets in his freakshow.
