Күн бұрынback after like 4 days, i think this might be one of my best yet
i've spent a fair bit just practicing writing melodies & using tried and true chord progressions rather than just winging it, and it has definitely paid off...
someone in my comments had noticed that a lot of my pieces weren't really the most complicated - i understood harmonies, timbre, etc. well enough but my melodies just weren't there (their exact wording was "instrumentation").
after practicing all the melodies, i really tried to focus on using each instrument for it's actual roles (low, layered strings as the main harmonies with a veeery high pitch violin for a kinda sorrowful melody, with the piano doing a bit of both to kinda tie it together), and it led to something i really liked.

around like the one minute mark where the second violin has been building such like a morose feeling and the piano notes sound all low and then suddenly that first violin just comes like careening in with the high notes and then the piano builds along side it is just so like. chefs kiss fantastic job this is a great song
