I watched it today. And I gotta say that this movie moved me deeply. Don’t go in expecting a jump-scare kinda horror film. It’s more of a drama with horror and folklore elements. Such a deep film. One of my favourites I’ve seen in the recent times!

The small story behind this movie. The movie maker/director was told that Hollywood will give him over 5 million dollars if he films the movie in the English language. But he declined that and filmed it in the original Macedonian language. No matter everything, when one film is good, it will be good. Good day everyone.

@joker shooter OH... I watched it when it got out. And for starters, it's not a horror, although it has some (smooth, VERY light) elements that may lead you to think it could be one... However, it's a bad attempt to do something Polanski-like (I'm talking about Manxhevski's film) and nothing more. I also don't expect this one to be a "classic horror", but nevertheless, hopefully it'll have something of the genre indeed and worth watching. We'll see... if we get a chance to watch it in a cinema in Macedonia, because in this country, there's no organized cinema system that goes in the theaters around the towns in the country, aside the capital (and even that's doubtful), which only one of the MANY, MANY pathetic things in this country.

An excellent bizarre art house horror folktale. A primal gothic exploration into what it means to be human, alive, and the desire for companionship and to be a part of the world. Adaptive, cruel and uniquely interesting. It is well worth your time.

It’s a beautiful film, just don’t go in expecting horror. It’s more of a drama and a meditation on what it means to be human. It is also presented in an “art house” style that can be frustrating to some viewers. As someone who appreciates and admires great cinematography I loved it 😍

My girlfriend and I saw this with absolutely no knowledge of the film. We like elevated horror, and chose this film based on that. I'd have a hard time calling it horror or even elevated horror....but....we were both SO delighted with this movie! It was so immersive, touching and human. I highly recommend it!

Um lindo filme, lindo, lindo, LINDO. Estava esperando algo baseado no elemento terror, que é o que o filme passa num primeiro momento, mas conforme você assiste, a emoção toma conta de você. A experiência é baseada no que é ser um humano, em diferentes perspectivas, já que ela é uma bruxa que toma peles, e as vive baseadas em sua própria experiência de mundo. O filme é perspicaz, inteligente, emocionante. Uma obra prima!

This is for those who haven't yet seen this film; do not be influenced by the comments left by those who speculate, how they compare and what they think. Watch with no expectations or you may be disappointed... this is a film about humanity told in a different narrative. Not everyone will get it, if you do you will love it otherwise you simply hate it! (It takes courage to produce a film like this: spoken in non mainstream language, all shot on one location.)

Just recently watched it. Recommended. Not really a horror film as such, more an existential allegory about loneliness. Lovely to look at, excellent score. Bonus points for it being so visually appealing it took me a while to realise it's in a 4:3 aspect ratio.

One of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. In my opinion, the movie was about self realization that your current situation isn’t what defines you, but your outlook in life does. The old witch wasn’t accepted by society not because she’s a witch, but because of her selfishness and poor outlook in life. She lives in the wilderness alone because of her piss poor attitude.

Because she speaks and moves like a regular person but she looks incredibly scary. The way she's acted is brilliant because she speaks like a normal person but she's not

This movie was genuinely brilliant but truly depressing. The witch can lead many lives and most of them are awful. Her life as a witch is awful, her lives as all the human forms are awful. Theres good moments but in the end you work hard and you die. Its a very sobering movie that makes you think. I do respect it deeply, and its very well made and written and acted. But I never want to see it again

There is a lot of macedonian cinematography Angela, going back from the brothers Manaki in 19th century to modern times and most of that cinematography is top quality. There is a quite a few A list Hollywood actors in those movies as well.
